Not really much to talk about, it's a recap. Though we did get to see upcoming time skip in preview...

I actually liked this episode a lot, since we were given almost uninterrupted, full clips of the upcoming OST. Not to mention some of the best shots of the show were wrapped up into this episode.

Couldn't care much for the eyecatches. Though, sixteen gave birth to possibly one of the best panels of the Gurren Koma ever.

Epic win!

Whose voice was that? The preview? Was that Rossiu's Seiyuu?

Only seen the ed and next ep preview but god those pictures during the ending were stunning. Looking forward to this being released because everyone is saying it's rather good and I love Taku Iwasaki's score for Gurren Lagann.

No, it's most definilty Rossiu's voice actress. (Yes, it's a she)
The episode title is in formal speech structure also, the way Rossiu and Nia speaks, not Simon.

Yup, it's Rossiu's seiyuu. Saiga Mitsuki, a woman. She has done some cool teenage male voices in the past: King of Bandit Jing, Soul Taker's Kyousuke, Eiri from Petit Cosette and Makoto of Genshiken (all are pretty boys adored by many girls around them).

Sorry I'm yapping, just had to get it out of my system, I just feel that King of Bandit Jing is the coolest guy in anime/manga :P

Am I the only feeling the recap as an awfully ominous premonition for how will the future plot-line in Gurren-Lagann turn out to be? I mean, the mood in the episode itself had certain degree of... epic nostalgia, like a story told among the armies before a doomed battle breaks in. The actual direction was fairly good for what I believe was a one week job, perfect set-up for a time-skip to be honest.
