Boku no Tonari ni Ankoku Hakaishin ga Imasu.

Quote:
The cover of this year's October issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Gene is announcing on Saturday that Arata Aki's Boku no Tonari ni Ankoku Hankaishin ga Imasu. (There is a Dark God of Destruction Next to Me) manga will get a television anime adaptation.

The manga follows Seri Koyuki, a high school student who tries to avoid strange people because he knows he will just end up being the the straight man to their antics. Enter Kabuto Hanadori, Koyuki's classmate who has chūnibyō (second-year middle school syndrome) and claims his eyepatch seals his god of destruction alter ego. Everything about Hanadori exudes the need for a straight man to keep him in check, and sure enough Koyuki is drawn in.

The Diet really needs to pass an age-limit law for male seiyuu playing high schoolers.

I think Fukuyama still has a fairly believable young voice, but Sakurai doesn't sound too bad here in my opinion.

Can't say I really see the problem with Fukuyama Jun either. (He was also quite good in Pokemon too), but Sakurai I agree. (Not to mention I don't think he fits the character in general)

Meanwhile I'm gonna have a hard time not just thinking "Sendou Aichi" every time Yonaga's character opens his mouth.

I know this show is beyond under the radar, but I thought the second ep was really funny. And Kimura Ryouhei is delivering a God-tier troll performance - best since Namikawa in Level E.

Yeah, I'm pretty much here for Kimura Ryouhei being a troll.

He's so, so good.

Basically Fukuyama and Sakurai are totally taking the piss with these roles, but the level of idiocy is so high that it kind of works. But Kimura - that's pure genius on display.

Is anybody at all watching this? It has no business being as funny as it is, but it's really funny.
