Well, looks to me Tats was thinking seriously fight the guy but Mary and Mayumi thought he couldn't do it and them was his sempais, so they "smell" Tats power but so far they thinking his ace its gram demolition, I bet if the girls suffer damages, they could see more Tats real power, I mean at this point of the story they don't known nothing, if this battle will happen after Yokohama I tell both girls give pass and space to Tats take charge, on the other side people from prison its probably daze whom the hell are those students...

firstly, lu was not at full form and was injured by a close combatant of his equal. Shortly after, he had to face Mari Watanabe, who is considered a genius in close combat, as well as Saegusa Mayumi, who is an ace magician from the 10 master clans providing support.

Not only that, but calling tatsuya a mere high school student is false. Without him, Mari and Mayumi would've been disabled right at the moment lu got past mari's offense. Tats mere presence, sealed the victory.

lu being able to take on a close combat genius and the magic shooter whilst still injured after his fight with an equal and would've won if not for tats already says enough about his status as one of the worlds finest close quarter combatants.

There's also the fact that these two "female high school students" are more than meets the eye. First, we have Saegusa Mayumi, of the renowned Saegusa Family of the Ten Master Clans, then Watanabe Mari, who's got serious cred in her own right as a swordswoman. Lu Gonghu's defeat was a combination of multiple factors: his earlier injury, superior teamwork from his abnormally skillful opponents, and Tatsuya's ability to shred his armor. As blood pointed out, the fact that the man got as far as he did, almost taking out Mayumi in CQC if not for Tatsuya's presence is a testament to his skills and reputation.

And I would submit the word "coquette" for Miyuki's behavior, even if directed towards one person.

no it's just a blast of psions I believe. It would require a really high count of psions to use iirc so very few could use it. It's described as a magic canon ball. It's also capable of blowing away magic sequences which was what happened on the bus to the tournament.
