All these Dragon Ball Z comparisons are making me realize the supporting characters aren't that bad. In DBZ, Tien, Yamcha and Chiaotzu had the worst deaths ever (They don't achieve anything and are forgotten). In contrast Hitsugaya and Soifong are surviving and getting stronger.

IIRC the only reason, that the Royal Guards showed up and took him with them was, because the spirit king wanted to meet him. So I expected to see this meeting at least before Ichigo departs and not that it happend off-screen.

No, Ichigo was never taken up there to meet the King. He even asked if that's what they wanted him for, and they said that wasn't it.

If he comes back next chapter, then at least Kubo's willing to give him a chance. Let's face it, Kubo has been shitting on the Vizards whenever he could. Though, I seriously figured Kensei would be the one to get taken out. It doesn't really matter if Kubo revives him or not though; this is more likely an excuse for Kubo to break out Koma's new powers from DogFather.

And also...face it: Kubo shits on anyone not named Ichigo. I really wouldn't be surprised if the war gets won by a combination of Ichigo, Zaraki, maybe Aizen(if freed) while the nakama and Byakuya take out lower level SR while everyone else is trolldead or really dead dead.

So when's Mayuri going to unleash whatever he was working on?

On the bright side...nice to see Kubo let a female character have the upper hand for a change. I'll never forgive Kubo for killing Uno off to make Zaraki Godtier and for demoting Rukia and Yoruichi so GO BAMBI! .
