I'm way overdue on the scheduling however (and exams coming up)

I'll be doing a simultaneous translation of both volume 1 and volume 2 this time (Since I'm midway through v2's prologue, not knowing what to do with v1).

Unlike the characters in the series, translators don't die. They're just missing in action. It's much easier recruiting Spartans than it is to recruit English fan LN translators after all.

I'm working on both at the same time, actually.

This is incomparable to previous illustrations. It doesn't look like Seitenshi was kidnapped.

how strong is rentaro now in the light novel? or is he one of those underdog types, who rather than relying solely on power, he gets by on an uneven mixture of skill, planning, luck, and a ton of improvising?

The latter and its pretty much 99% luck. He shows off a lot of skills and fights the good fight, but in the end he wins thanks to luck.

He's a glass cannon that needs technology, planning and luck to even out his fights.

If you want a accurate ranking of his power it's made pretty clear that at best he's at Enju's level. There's a least a hundred initiators that's equal to or stronger then Enju atm. So it's pretty safe to say that there's probably a least a hundred characters that are stronger then Rentaro.

Wow I´m new in this thread but after reading some of the manga and what is translated of the novel I have to say the story is awesome, Rentaro is quite a badass and the setting couldn´t be daker, specially with the Cursed Children.

About the discussion to get the Children rights, the only way I see that happening is to find a cure to the Gastrea virus, they´re useful for military operations but society as whole are dangerous animals that do anything to protect themselfs so they will reject those poor kids to the end.

By the way, I read that during volume 4 90% of the city military force was lost, how the hell did the end up like that? Even if they won the city has no power to mantain its own laws and public order. considering how messed up is that society they would end up killing each other.
