A few Questions on Mahoromantic S2 [Spoilers]

Hi guys I just recently finished watching S2 of Mahoromatic a few days ago and I have a few questions thats kinda bugging me.

1. Who exactly is Mahoro, is she Mathrew?
2. Who exactly built her? Was it the Saints or the Terrans
3. Did Vesper assainate the president of the U.S? Or were they setup by the Management.
4. What are Mathrew and the Saints true intentions?
5. Why did Suguru's grandfather break off from the Saints and form Vesper and decided to fight off the Saints. Didn't the Saints say that they had no intention of colonizing Earth at all.
6. I know how Suguru's father died but how did his mom die. I'm not entirely sure was it from child birth?
7. Is Sugurus sensei an Saint cause she hasn't aged in 20 years at all. Leesha had mentioned that humans and Saints look indentical but the Saints live longer.
8. Is their talk of a S3 or any other specials or OVAS...I already know about the summer special but are their any more. I just can't get enough of Mahoro shes so cute

I didn't like the second season too for almost the same reasons as you. The last episode really didn't fit in with the rest of the show, I was kinda ticked off at the fast foward 20 years into the future and turned Suguru into an middle aged bounty hunter of some sort, WTH. It just didn't fit the story, also why make Mahoro come back again. I thought ep 13 was an ok ending for the series.

Anyways I hope they make some more specials of Mahoro with the gang, it was so much more fun watching them get along then seeing secret organizatons and alien invasions an such. Anyways thanks for trying to answer some of my questions for me I appreciate it.

Well Mahoro was made by Vesper with Saint technology. It was mentioned that she had a soul of Saint.

The Management were the ones that took out the prez and setup Vesper as the fall guys.

I am not really sure what Saints true intentions were, I think a lot of it had to do with learning about the only other intelligent life form that they were able to find other then themselves if that makes sense.

I a not really sure about Suguru's grandfather. In the end it looked like he was really working for Saint. Maybe the manga coming out will clear this up a bit.

Suguru's teacher wasn't a Saint...

Here's a question of my own. Can anyone clearly explain the ending in season 2. Is that really Mahoro coming back or was that just Suguru seeing her coming back as he was dying?

I thought it was a horrible ending...they should of stuck with the season 1 story line more closely IMO.

Ed

P.S.-Suguru's mother was killed by a hit and run driver that they never caught. i think it was explained in the beginning of season 2.

Thanks Ninjaboy you answered some of my questions

Now for your question, I think that was another clone of Mahoro with the same memories of the last Mahoro. I thought the same as you too until I remembered Mathrew which by the way looks like Mahoro with her hair down saying she will leave a piece of her memories for Suguru. I can only imagine she made another Mahoro with her own memories. Anyways its not very clear the ending stunk.

gotta agree w/ that. WTF? totally didn't go w/ the flow. ending scene seemed a little tacked on to make it "happy." they could have just as easily had her "reborn" while he was still in mexico.

i think she was made w/ a mix of earth and saint tech. partial soul of matthew maybe? seems like it since she was "left behind."

Mahoromatic Specials question

I'm just wondering how many special episodes are there for Mahoromatic? I know there's a Summer Special but is that it? I searched online and I found something like "preview special" and "year-end special". Are those real episodes or they are just some kind of "behind the scene" thing? or maybe they're trailers?

If i remember correctly, it's about the guys trying to hide their porn stash from the girls. It was pretty funny and done in the same style as the Mahoro series.

Suguru also inherits a great line to counter Mahoro's classic "ecchi nanoha ikenai to omoimasu". It's "ecchi da! shikatanai!", basically "We're perverse/perverted, it can't be helped." Truly an epic battle. The R1 release is supposed to have a figure & box...which means I have it preordered in duplicate. ^^

Year end special I think is the one when they recap over what happened in the season before, with commentary by the characters.
The preview special is probably the watermelon episode, when they talk about the show coming to TV. (mahoro and sugur, both eating watermelon)

With the catastrophic ending of yet another show, the producer managed to coin a new catch phrase: "To gainax"

To gainax a show means to take something which is perfectly fine and utterly ruin its ending by a mix of painful incompetence and forced artsiness. See Evangelion, Kare Kano, Mahoromatic or KonoMini - all these shows are gainaxed.

Therefore, it's a near-certainty that you can enjoy GAINAX shows until 2 episodes before the end, when you better stop and think of an enjoyable resolution on your own - because you know for a fact that it won't be happening in the original version.

It's easier if you imagine that the last two episodes don't happen and you move the Summer special in place as the ending, as I recall.

Another archetypical example of what Anime analysts and fans coin the Gainax ending.

I too disagree with the sour and bitter taste that the ending provoked on me. They left totally unexplained out of the blue what really happened to Mahoro and not just her, but Suguru's friends as well.

Spoiler for manga spoiler:
