The special is out and Mamoru is extreme badass he found and fought Jesus lol. I also wonder if the translator took some Liberties with the translation or if that is what Mamoru really said on page 30.

Well the pronounciation may be Hee-sus not Gee-sus.

Spain, Portugal and their former colonies have Jesus as first names.

Interesting bit as of that time there is another swordsman as Mamomu in skill. Though we don't know who. Is it Mamoru's master, the detective or someone else?

No, I meant the manga where Jesus originated from.
That special chapter you read was a cross-over between Jesus and Until Death Do Us Part.

That series, despite being badass, is so Goddamn unpopular and I can't even find entries for it in mainstream anime information sites.
This is the only entry for the series I found after running several searches.

I doubt that's the reason.
I'm sure it's merely due to the series' sheer lack of popularity.

If a character from Dragon Ball appeared in a chapter of Naruto, people would immediately know it's a cross-over because both series are popular.

Look at the reaction when Jesus appeared in UDDUP.
Nobody knows who Jesus is and wondered if he's a character from the comic itself.

The art in Jesus is unique. It's a mix between Hong Kong style and typical Japanese but leans more to the former.

As seen in the special chapter, his weapons of choice are firearms but he can also improvise when it's necessary, like a chapter where he killed an entire group of bad guys with a pair of handcuffs.

PS - Jesus was made by Kyoichi Nanatsuki. He worked with Ryoji Minagawa to do Project ARMS.
