Anyhow, nice find. Too bad all merch, PROMINENCE and UN 3rd Army patches aside, is outta my financial reach.

Dang, that probably was before I went on /m/ or something. I'm usually on /a/.
*edit edit* I think it's me. I remember saying Yuzuka is the essence of a japanese girl on /m/.

Few plates of ABS plastic confirmed. Even though I have been collecting A3s, this Typhoon is definitely superior to the A3 version in terms of proportions. I currently have Koto Takemi mixing with A3s which is okay due to the common height, but I'll have to wait and see reviews of the Typhoon just to clarify.
The shoulder shield gimmick on the Typhoon is the same as that on the Takemi on the Integral Works cover. |

After reading the pre-release build sample from last month's Hobby Japan, I am going to order this. Its sculpt and proportion is definitely closer to the lineart and would greatly benefit from being a hard plastic kit to maximise its aeroplane visual vibe, unlike the previous Japanese TSF releases.
I previously thought "Can't go wrong with A3", but I really do loathe the A3 skeleton European TSF sculpts. I will get an A3 British Typhoon though if there is no Koto release. A3s do have good sculpt, but it would only benefit designs which tend to be round due to the figures being PVC. Sharp and smooth Euro TSFs require hard plastic to look undistorted. I just hope a future A3 Gripen will do justice. For A3, I am just getting ones that will never make it to Koto. I really wonder whether Koto will venture onto Schwarzmarken or not. |
