I'm pretty damn sure it won't. That's the worst kind of filler there is and no way in hell will it be included in Kai.

Same with the Ginyu Force vs Yamucha, Tenshinhan and Chaozu in Kaio's planet. Boy that was awful.

Yeah, I think most people have seen DBZ Abridged.

They were kinda funny at first but got stale fast IMO. Nowhere near the quality of Yu Gi Oh Abridged.

If the pacing is just like the manga which it should be, then the Freeza saga will easily end at episode 50.

Indeed, considering the Freeza fight in DBZ was full of fillers such as featuring characters who aren't involved in the fight (Bulma, Chichi etc.) and flashbacks I think ending the arc at episode 50 will be easy to pull off.

He improved it in Kaio's planet, but he never learned the Kaioken so it shouldn't have been a very significant improvement. Then he finds a half-dead Nail, who possesses a power level of 42,000, and somehow their fusion ends up with a power level that can match Freeza's second form, which is at over 1,000,000. Damn, never understimate fusion.

As for the insane power up, it does make a lot more sense after witnessing all the fusions we see later on in the Buu arc, though i still remember my first reaction as to when Piccolo was able to go against Freeza second form like it was nothing. Never before have i been so shocked in my life.

Well they got through all the wishes and got things set up for the fight in an episode. A pretty good plan from Piccolo that gets around the problem of only wishing one person back at a time. Of course if he gets himself killed before they can find the dragonballs then it will have been a big waste of time .

Damn you can't look down at fusions. They really do create incredible powerups. After this one with Nail and the fusion with Piccolo later I really wasn't all that surprised by the boosts that the ones in the Buu arc made.

But yeah when seeing the boost Piccolo got the first time it was pretty shocking.

Makes you wonder the exact extent of the wishes' power though. I know they say they can't do what their creators' power couldn't, but that's obviously not quite right either. We never see Guru or Kami bring anyone back from the dead, and the only teleporting we saw them doing was from King Yama's room to the Watchtower. Other than an unusually long life, we see nothing to suggest they can grant eternal youth. In fact, the only wish that we've seen a Namekian able to fulfill themselves would've been the panties Oolong wished for.

So... couldn't they just wish for a power up or something? Wish to become a Super Saiyan, or what-have-you?

While humans drop off the radar pretty fast the Namekians do get their brief points in the spotlight.

Yeah that actually wouldn't have been a bad wish. Could have gotten an instant win right there if they had gone that far. Of course part of their goal was to bring everyone back and with the Elder dying that would have been over if they had fused. Of course could have used Dende to make new ones so the point is actually still valid. But would have been just too easy to do it that way .

1,000 (initial battle power fighting Raditz)

3,500 (after 1 year training Gohan before killed by Nappa)

35,000 (the training in Kaio's planet)

35000 x 30 (after merging with Nail) = 1,050,000 can easily match Freiza's 2nd form of 1,000,000

1,050,000 x 30 (after merging with Kami) = 30,150,000 can easily kill Cell 1st form(not yet 100% fully charged) which has a battle power of around 20,000,000+ and match with 17's or 18's battle power of 30,000,000+

Cell (100% fully charged) beatup Piccolo after absorbing plenty of human beings. Where Cell Battle's power is around 40,000,000+

Final battle power of Piccolo in the DBZ is 30,000,000+

If he can travel back in time and absorb the Old Piccolo.
30,150,000 x 30 = 904,500,000 [wow, huge battle power]

If Piccolo start absorbing all namekians and become a one entity. He is easily the most powerful character in DBZ world as long the Super Saiyans won't train daily to surpass his battle power.

I'm beginning to see why Toriyama did away with power levels.

I had always thought Piccolo was nowhere near Freeza's level of 1,000,000 even after his fusion. Remember when Piccolo and Gohan were fighting Nappa and they were able to land a few good hits on him despite being much weaker than him at their best? I figured it was something like that with Piccolo vs. Freeza. Piccolo had the whole element of surprise thing plus he could "read Freeza's moves" from the earlier Nail fight.

It's a shame we don't find out what Piccolo learnt while he was on Kaio's planet, or at least what his battle power is before he fused with Nail. But yeah fusion is the answer here, because it does include a serious power increase.

Regarding next weeks episode.

If it'll follow the same path as the manga, then the fusion with Nail should happen at the start of the episode before Vegeta and Freeza have their little collision before Freeza transformed. Somehow i get the feeling that the episode will start of with just that, and the fusion will happen during the episode, or towards the end. Quite tricky how they didn't feature it in the preview. I don't see how all that will fill one episode, so we should see some of second form Freeza in action next week.

Just a little addition and correction, Piccolo should have increased his power level a little more during the three years bewtween mecha freezer and the start of the android saga. after all he took future trunks advice to drain during the timeskip.
