well, Wingul infuses his sword with the Lightning element on that Mystic Arte. The color is of a dark lightning I guess. Why there's Nova in the name, I do not know.

Tales' naming sense for mystic artes had always been like that

for example, Tales of Graces' Richard's Spiral Ascension... He screams out the arte's name while doing a downward kick
