We've only seen one episode so its a bit hard to judge based on that.
But I've seen the first episodes of UKE, and A-kingdom-Aone. I have not seen Seed-Fansubs or Anime-Chounin versions, so I cannot judge them. Out of those two I think A-k, Aone had a better first episode. Regardless, I appreciate every group that tries to bring Destiny to us fans. |

anime-keep or A-K&Aone
I checked most of the forums for Gundam Seed Destiny and i have concluded that these two groups are the best subbers for it.
Now i want to see which fansub wins the poll. Last edited by NoSanninWa; 2004-10-16 at 00:58. Reason: Threads merged |

Hooray for comparison screens. IMO, it's between AOne/A-Kingdom, Seed-Fansubs, and A-Keep. I really can't pick between the three of them unless we get some outside information. t/l comparison maybe? |

Has anyone besides me watched the seed-fansubs version? I think it has a superior translation to aone/a-kingdom, but then again I don't know japanese. =X
I don't know, maybe the general concensus is bias from the latter half of seed done by a-kingdom. But who was reigning as the best sub for seed for the first half? Anime-Gundam/SI/Aoshi. And where can we find the seed-fansubs version of seed destiny 01? Anime-Gundam. I'l let you people think on that for a bit. |

If SEED-Fansubs actually had the SI-Aoshi-AG name tag, it'd be more popular. But A-Kingdom did a good job, and for those of us who like to have one group for a whole series to burn would rather have the same 2 groups the whole way through then a few groups who disappeared halfway through. We don't have any reason to switch off A-Kingdom/AonE (and later more than likely Haro^2).

A-Kingdom & Aone, too bad the file size was quite big, good for collection though
If you go for speed, the fastest fansub would be popgo. The translated version is released like a few hours after the raw is aired. |

you'll notice that in the 4th screenshot comparison, they put "Pilot to the stern deck" Whereas every GOOD group put Pilot to the Core Splendor...I dunno how you could say Uke-Fansubs and YoumaOtakus could have the best translation. I think that comparison is a good indicator of which groups that actually do research on the show. Uke and YO clearly do not. |

Aone/A-Kingdom from the versions I've seen. Can't tell how accurate the translations are though, so I'm judging on the encoding, typesetting... and stuff.
Just like to point out, Seed-Fansubs is not SI-Aoshi-AG. From my knowledge, both Si and Aoshi are long dead, and most of the original staff of AG that worked on Seed are gone too. AG might be continuing on with a new name, but it isn't the same team working on Destiny. |
