I can't say I'm emotionally invested in the story or characters. I stopped caring around the catastrophe arc

Still, just want to know what Gantz is and how it connects to the other smaller aliens, the giants, the psychic german girl

So far I have very little answers

Just finished the anime.

How's the manga? Same characters? Followup to the animee?

the anime just took a dead en route at some point, if you want to read the manga where the anime left off, start at the end of the japanese statues arc, the story/characters are the same just a different route from that point.

The anime diverged during the last arc, if I recall correctly. As far as the manga goes, it is very, very far ahead from where the anime ends, and a lot of things have happened since. Essentially, they are the "same" characters, with new additions.

The manga is quite good, but there are parts that drag a little bit.

The guy crying and Kurono telling everyone not to give up brings out the emotions. Then, when the one guy kills the supposedly invincible skeleton, it was so epic.

I just finished watching the Gantz Live Action Movie (English Dubbed) and have one thing to say Totally EPIC !!!!!!!! the one downside however is that like all dubbed movies the actors lips sometimes don't keep up with the dialogue but its much better than the majority of them. Not to give away any spoilers but it ends right after the big battle at the temple. A second movie has been made and is either available already or soon will be it is called Gantz Part 2: Perfect Answer

Really? It looked the same to me. I have little hope, even if the protagonist meets his lady, the story won't progress as I expect, unless this happens in 351 with Tae.

lol i was thinking the same thing, imagine just how funny it would be for Tae to die now in-front of Kurono after escaping these n number of times

but i'd rather have the extra Kurono around and have him revive Kei Kishimoto somehow, that would be quite interesting

Last page, Kurono has finally found Tae in the crowd, let hope someone (giants) step on her in the last final minutes. and just hopefully, kill off one of the extra Kurono. Depends if my prediction is correct or not, I might drop this series, its getting repetitive and boring. Question, what ever happen to Kishimoto?
