Huh what you know we did get a S-Class colour spread and what a spread!
Erza and Mira-chan are just insanely in it.
I always thought of Gil with blonde hair, not brown I didn't quite expect that.

Again I have to say I love how Natsu's mind works

Well I wondered about the how Elfman and Evergreen beat Mira-chan and there we have it simple and plain yet the after is pretty damn funny.

I have a feeling that Elfman and Evergreen WILL end up together down the road. Now that the joke is out, everyone will be thinking about it, including them. Would make it an interesting way to bring out Evergreen's humanity (via love), and well, Elfman will have to do, what a man has to do....

Still don't like that Juvia went back to that look; I preferred the other version.

Natsu actually showing some thinking skills by talking to a monster. Why is everyone else running? Seriously, they've beat down things much scarier before.

Marakov waiting by the grave. Is that where Mest is ultimately going? Or someplace else? Does this mean Marakov knows?

I have to admit, despite my issues with some things, I find this to be one of the few manga that I have an easy time following and keeping everything in mind, and enjoying. I'm reading some other manga, but most I'm looking at just for something to read and also there is too much information to follow in them. Looking forward to 209, and pleasantly surprised it's not a side story.

^ I find the characters very easy to remember, and the story's arcs are short compared to other manga, so it's always a light read.

Mest will definitely meddle with the test, I'm a lot more interested in the last arrival though, because it seems as if he's been there from the start. Life/death DS of immortal magic? naw, I'm thinking too much into it.

Elfman x Evergreen is so gonna happen. There's no stopping it. Highlight of the chapter had to be the Erza service, along with that fantastic cliffhanger. So happy that 209 will soon follow. The usually weekly wait would be very painful.

Hmm, didn't think they'd confront Zeref yet. I mean, I expected it sooner or later, but figured Ivan would be the guy behind it. That means Makarov probably isn't aware of what's going on. Zeref almost seems to have a split personality, and Mest seemed a bit gleeful upon realizing it. Also seems like the grave isn't what they are after.

So how did Zeref get onto the island? Did he hide there before? Was he "sealed" away there, and has finally kinda gotten free?

Well, did not expect the emo guy to be Zeref, but we have another dark guild to deal with (Grimoire Heart). Hopefully this guild lives up to being a threat unlike the past we have seen.

2. he is related to this "Mavis" and Mavis had created this island for Zeref to sleep on

Well I think this chapter drops a big hint on something before, Natsu is probably over the age 80.
I'm guessing the thing that happened on the year 777 had a effect on the DS, mayeb the dragons cast magic on them reverting them back to childhood probably in body only but they still keep real age.
With memory swipe as well.

Well another twist I didn't see coming, I always kinda expected Zeref to older
Colour me surprised there.
By the looks of things I'm guessing Zeref actually might want to die?
And the only person able to kill him is Natsu, if so that should be pretty interesting.

Convenient that Gil headed back to the guild, looks like we might not see anymore epic fighting from him, altho he could turn up later.

damn the wait for the next chapter is gonna killer!

Overall not evil but completely misunderstood. When the seal Urtear undid was undone he woke up in the grave on that island where he has wondered since not knowing how to get off.

Considering that Zeref is supposed to hundreds of years old he sure looks young. Strange that he knows natsu as well because of this though it does start to shed a little light on why Natsu couldn't get through the older than 80 or stone golem barrier a while back. My guess is that he is from Zeref's time. Zeref possibly created him or was his real father is my guess for the sole purpose of destroying him (regret for all that he had done?). He gave him to igneel to train Natsu figuring it was the best way. when he couldn't control his powers anymore he put himself to sleep on the island and had seals set up to stop anyone from awakening him until the time he was hoping for which was when natsu was actually strong enough to truly kill him.

You have some great points here. First and foremost, that would explain why Nastu was not able to cross Freed's barrier during the Luxus arc. As for speculation on his relationship with Zeref, I would probably guess that he is of either a blood relation (brother) or of a family bloodline that keeps another bloodline in check.

i thought the same, "how convenient" but they are on a ship and i wouldn't be surprise to see Gil and the other guys to drop in at the tail end of the fight.

yeah. IMO Zeref is either natsu's father (in this case likely Mavis) but likely unable to age due to his powers which is why he still looks so young. Or possibly a brother (with mavis being their father who died sealing Zeref up)

I'm still of the opinion he's a dragon-slayer (likely the Black ones, which could explain why he's currently going on a rampage right now) in some capacity, whether or not he's the real Zeref or some kind of seal for him. Look at his pointed teeth in 208
