The pyramid chart being Hayama? Seems like a ranking of 1st years.

Erina at the top, followed by Hayama on the 2nd level, then I believe it was Ryo and Soma.

And pretty neat that they (Hayama, Soma & Ryo) were provided with medals.

Her development (to be more and more friendly to Soma and other protagonists) would be good if her character is shown to address (or reflect on) what she done in chapter 2 & 3 (regardless whether Soma cares because I don't think it's in Soma's character to care or brood over it). I know some want humiliation that feels too melodramatic/cliche to me.

"Cliché" would be if it was resolved in a manner, where Souma had to beg her for forgiveness for being "so insensitive" instead. If that were to happen, I may very well drop the manga instantly.

Sorry, no matter how you spin it, Erina abusing her authority by being unprofessional at most isn't equal to Joffrey abusing his authority to kill babies.

Arifureta doesn't really have a villainous turned heroine.On the other hand,it was very satisfying to see Kouki becoming a Butt-monkey.Erina's BS is even worst than Cookie's.As for Suterareta,we see the MC turn the heroines into buttmonkeys and some time after,development kicks in and they feel sorry for what they have done to the MC.

The point is that both these series have characters that became eternal butt-monkeys in order to make the MC look better and to pander to those who enjoy seeing successful people getting dragged down.

I don't like the blonde guy as a rival, honestly he lost his right as a rival to Souma after losing to Stalk God who Souma beat right after.

Mad Dog looks like his dad and is around Souma's skill level....even though its clear as hell Souma is superior the manga shows them on the same level so yeah.

Then Curry Nose Guy is the rival that Souma will need to surpass.

I dislike how they show the blonde dude and Stalk God in that one scan, like they aren't even a threat anymore since Souma schooled them both.

Feels kinda anticlimatic ending to this big bad super important tournament. I'm still not over how he lost tbh, looks like they're trying to set it up as, he's as good as anyone but to still grow we'll give you all those rivals to keep you on your toes thing, and maybe to mirror with his dad who's also finished second, but ehhhh. My Uni teacher used to say the most important thing he taught was how we knew much less than we thought, I think it's a much better angle (and a better life lesson tbh) than to level up the MC through ever stronger opponents DBZ style.

It depends on the total length of the manga. If, say, this manga ran for 500 chapters, then there's still plenty more time to delve on Erina. We don't know at this point. The thing is, there are people who enjoy an ojou sama tsundere character, so they hope for more Erina in the future, and that is perfectly doable if the manga is aiming for at least a hundred or 2 more chapters.

10 chapters of erina development is what im expecting then she gets shoved into the back like all the other girls.

You know, the only ones that mind that are the hater readers, because Souma is ok(can only think of him mad if Yukihiras is mentioned), and no one else knows it. Like with Nikumi, she was bad with the don and Souma, but later, no one minded that.
