Amalie is not really a maid in that she don't really have to do any cleaning, it's just a cover for her and her role is basically his mistress, she doesn't even wear a maid outfit at all. She pretty much spend her day hanging out with Therese, and speaking of Therese, we never know when Vel started his relationship with her. It was kind of a let down cause it pretty much came out of nowhere like literally is just have her sitting there trying the crystal thing and it show she haves it and vel's master figure it out and Vel just said yeah we have that relationship now.
