C.E.73 Stargazer & DESTINY SE info
People with early release of Newtype magazine are reporting the following:

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E.73 Stargazer
- Format: 3 episodes each 15 minutes long. Available through net streams and events. It will first appear at Shizuoka Hobby Show in May

Staff:
- Director: Susumu Nishizawa
- Script: Shigeru Morita
- Character Designer: Kenichi Ohnuki

2 main characters:
- Sven Cal Bayan: 19 year old male natural. Phantom Pain 2nd Lt.
- Selene McGriff: 28 year old female coordinator. One of the researcher of "GSX-401FW Stargazer Project"

Main unit:
- GAT-X105E Strike Noir - Based on Strike Gundam. (Gunpla version will come out)

I´ve never heard of a Scandinavian with the names "Cal Bayan" though. On the other hand I´ve never seen a narurally pink haired Scandinavian either...

Anyone noticed Fukuda is NOT directing? Seems Sunrise/Bandai finally got the picture.

Also this new director seems to have never directed a series.......only did storyboard for a few eps of Fushigi Yuugi and Storyboard for Inu-Yasha.

This might be interesting.

On a sidenote......F*** its CE 73.....we're probably gonna see cameo's from Kira and Athrun and co since this takes place during S-Destiny......or hopefully the director will have enough sense not to try do any lame tie ins.

Athrun POV is kind of redundant, but okay. A lot of things are already in his pov and... The Edge?

Seems the script write for Stargazer works on Blood+ and also supposedly helps proofing the script for S-Destiny.

Here's some more information from the article::

深宇宙探査・開発機関
Deep Space InveStigation Development organization (DSSD) - I'm guessing at the acronym name from that translation.

According to the article, Selene is apparently apart of a group called DSSD whose main objective is the "GSX-401FW Stargazar Project." She has egocentric tendancies from time to time despite her intelligence.

As for Sven, apparently he is a "machine" with an unusual relentlessness of hatred towards Coordinators.

It takes place IMMEDIATELY after the Break the World event.

Stargazer is the name of an "all-white" mobile suit.

The integrated performance of the 105E was redone at the Aktaion Industries. Woo! Go Astray reference!

A different director can get some fresh blood going in the Cosmic Era. A Natural protagonist who is with the EA is also good news. And the Strike Noir looks unique and different from normal.

True. But at least with get a different director and charaters. Though I guess it would have been a better trade off of GSD being done this way with Fukuda and the rest being stuck in an OVA where they should be actually.

I did like the first half of the ep 41 recap episode...When Athrun's POV was shown in the flashback, it was actually a bit compelling...As recaps go it was pretty interesting, but 4 OVA's all from his perspective?? I don't know if he has the cashe...But atleast Fukuda used a brain-cell this time...Atleast they didn't pick Kira which would have been psuedo-epic and even more of a slap to Shinn supporters...With all honesty as a Shinn guy, it would be very lacking to tell the Ova from his perspective since he was just getting conditioned for basically the whole series (Plus it's not like he drove the plot much)...So by using Athrun atleast we'll get a bit of his dramatic struggle between balancing the loyalties of his God-like best friend and his responsibilities as a role model for Shinn (Inwhich he failed miserably)...It should be interesting to see the most indecisive character in Gundam history explain why he's so incapable of making a decision(Since that's all we're getting I guess I can deal)...

A new Kira and Shinn meeting scene? *scratches brow* Just don't screw my boy even worse...

Hmm, I might be a damn father before the next true Gundam series...

Erm... people don't realize that... basically the EDGE manga series is being animated in the movie form. Therefore, you will see the inner thoughts, I mean, WHINING of Athrun with less focus on the fights and other characters. =)
