Hello everyone!

I went ahead and threw together a bit more relevant-looking webpage and took out all the other bits (i.e. The BYOND Project stuff). Also there's an about page now among other things like links on the sidebar.

There are plans to actually set up a real website in the future, but the hardest part will probably be deciding on a group name. Everything else seems to be proceeding smoothly. Lately I've had my time divided among three things: training for a marathon, full time school, and translating The First Night.

I'm asking around my university if there's anyone else who might be interested in translating, but if anyone else out there is seriously interested, let me know and it'll help lighten the workload.

I love the new layout. Yeah, DoktorFunk is designing the proper site… I've offered to do some PHP stuff with it. We might actually integrate the Blogspot blog into the site, that has yet to be decided. Of course, we'll need to decide on the group name before we can reserve the domain name, but that's not too important right now. The blog is great as a temporary site.

It is. If you order Higanbana 2nd Night and Ougon Musou Kyoku Cross, they'll add in Umineko no Naku Koro ni Hane and Warera no Kokuhaku (Umineko extra booklet tip). If you're interested, we're discussing it in the Umineko threads http://forums.animesuki.com/showthre...=82641&page=33

Hey folks, it would appear 07th Expansion released a new promotional video for Higanbana no Saku Yoru ni, but it seems to be more in tandem with the Umineko fighting game Ougon Musou Kyoku CROSS.

The reason I'm posting it here is because it features not only Battler and Beatrice talking, but also a third, young-sounding female voice who I don't recognize. Judging by ear, it sounds like the voice of Sayaka Ohara (who plays Beatrice) using her "young girl" voice.

Since it pops up with the first mention of Higanbana, I was wondering if that voice could be Marie, if not Higanbana herself (the former seems far more likely, though it could also happen to be a young Beatrice), which makes me think something like an anime, drama CD, or enhanced port to a video game console besides the PC is something 07th Expansion has in mind.

Actually, I think this CD on M.Graveyard's site should be it: http://mgraveyard.com/

It has the full opening song and a new song called Spider Lily, plus 25 other tracks, so it's probably the soundtrack of the First Night.

I have just finished reading of 1st night and want to introduce my favourite character.

Spoiler for Sumire:

Sumire(Violet) оf Twilight is the 7th yokai of the school. She is zashiki-warashi from a tea house. Trying to adapt to modern society she began her "work" in the school. She has her own style and uses other hunting methods than Higanbana and other yokais. She attends the school as an ordinary pupil. Because she looks helpless, she is always bullied by classmates. Her stupid laugh and tears provoke more harassment. Because of this dark pleasure, souls of her classmates begin to corrupt and she eats fragments of these souls.

According to her profile, she is a real masochist. In ancient times she often played with human children and was bullied. Then she found enjoinment in such suffering and became a pervert. She is envious to Higanbana, because Higi has a TV in the infirmary.
