First killing game my ass - more like Junko's slaugtherhouse
On that note I am sad junko didn't put on an 'upupupu' there.

I did ask why everyone was so sure that Nanami would be part of StuCo's killing game. I'll ask again: why?

Anyway, Junko sure knows how to set up stages. And Mukuro has a nice voice.

After several games we finally find out what happened during the first mutual killing and the end result was......pretty lame.

All Junko did was threaten them and that was it. The SC also went berserk pretty easily for a bunch of people that were supposed to be the world's hope.

I'm a bit intrigued by the fact that the whole student council actually had legitimate character designs opposed to the generic watery-blue figures they use for background characters. I wonder if they've appeared in supplementary material before...

But it seems Izuru didn't in fact kill anyone in the student council at all, they all killed themselves, he was merely observing the massacre and Junko used his presence as an excuse to rile up the reserve course students into an angry mob.

Also seems Junko's plans with Ryota and the anime he's making haven't quite occured yet, though I'm sure will come to light soon.

BTW I was amused on how they threw in a shot of Junko's ass and cleavage while Ryota was explaining how animation can influence someone's brain, with changing color overlays no less.

tbh when Junko told her to sing I expected her to screw up - but she actually managed to surprise me.
A pity Junko made her so rotten.

Junko claimed that Izuru did the slaughter and the narration with other sources (such as manga scattered in DR1 and DR2) were vague enough to the point people like me really thought Izuru was the culprit as Junko "broke his mind".
Because of this, it isn't surprising to expect Nanami to be part of the student council after she was elected as the class rep, and considering her ties with Hajime, murdering her could trigger that mind break, further spiraling into despair.

It isn't like people could expect izuru's boring mode to go as far as just rolling on with Junko's antics.

And to be honest, I'm quite disappointed how the "killing game" went (regardless if Izuru had anything to do with that).

It could be either way: Junko is shown to be outright liar this time around.

SDRV2/Dr0: Izuru participate in the killing game along with the rest of student council, in which he single handedly killed them all. He is teh mastermind
DR3 (reality): The Student Council just decided to kill each other. Izuru is not even really patrticipating until at teh absolute end, nor was he the mastermind

SDRV2: The reserve Course student killed themselves after viewing the footage
DR3: Who knows.

Some might be giving these students too much credit, people can do some pretty unbelievable things for relatively trivial reasons. It may seem stupid on the surface but I'd say the situation isn't implausible at all.

All it took is Junko actually killing one of them to prove she's serious and plant the seed of fear and irrationality in their minds following up with presenting them with all of their legit private information. Turns out there was in fact one girl among them who was willing to kill other people for the sake of keeping her secret a secret and from there any trust anyone had for one another crumbled to bits and it became a kill or be killed situation.

We didn't really see everything that happened anyway. I think we're supposed to just assume that Enoshima was pretty thorough in scattering the seeds of despair. I mean she really just needs one or two of them to crack and the whole thing would just cascade into a bloodbath.

Huh? DR0 and DR3 have not been inconsistent yet...? Speaking of "viewing" though...

Spoiler for DR0 Ryoko:

The part where "Izuru being the mastermind and the one who killed them all" was Junko's rumors, the one we see at the end of the episode. Even in zero it was stressed that Izuru was neither the mastermind nor he actually single-handedly kill everyone, he was just there. And yes, the StuCo was shown (as video) killed each other in DR0 as well.

All Talent students have character designs. Only the Reserve/Normals are generic watery-blue(except Hinata) and Kuzuryuu sister's class.
