If you haven't clear E2 on hard yet: forget AS in boss node. Fill your CVs slots with bombers, save the single-digit one. Send 2 CLTs in, with the luck-modded one at the top.
This is my fleet in the final configuration. With the help of LBA & good old fashioned boss support. E4 features installation boss, so no CLT, but you may need the specialist DDs. OTOH, there's a reportedly quite effective fleet setup that involves a SS with damecon, CAVs and 3-4 CV/Bs in the fleet. Save a CLT for E3 and Kasumi/Ooshio/etc for E4. That should be enough.

Moreover why use 35.6 guns now at all? once gungut's guns are in Akashi's arsenal you can get 4 of them instead of two. i.E you can just put on Biskos and her guns on the Kongous and sortie them out (or any other ship who has 36.5 as a fit cannon) - Difference is though, the 38s are actually stronger than the 35.6cms - Moreover why use Bisko's guns on bisko now, - she gets an armor point if you put on the 30.5s

E3 is turning into the Agano-class collection. Must have gotten close to 30 S-ranks by now, no sign of either of the two new drop girls. Instead I got 4 Noshiros, 1 Agano, 1 Mutsu and 1 Akagi among others.
I wonder what kind of offering Rocksmash made to the devil. What poor animal was sacrificed for getting both of them in only 9 runs.

A similar one to the ones getting through node Q :/ Each and every try one of my CAs gets sent home. (Yes I mean you, Takao) Edit: Well K I'm not using exacty strong DDs - I can't really believe that you need no DDs at all in E4.

The actually for once not deep evil voice actng on the light carrier hime makes hearing her getting shot painful :/
The other painful thing is how little a kill actually counts towards the bar Edit: I just tried the 3 CV/B + 2CA/V + 1 SSV Setup and its working out surprisingly well. The AA Requirements on medium are so low I can Equip 6 Torpedo Bombers. Another NiceGimmik some of you may wonder about is the Range towards the Boss: Its exactly 1. I.e. You can use Jet planes without crippling your cranes out of their attack agaisnt the boss (they also shoot down enemies I think) 1st try was already S Rank. Again Medium on hard, you might get more probelems getting the sub through Node C.
