Are most Korean people like you? Because it annoys me when I go to Korean websites and it doesn't support Firefox. Men I became so different from my people .
And yeah I already decide to do this as I like Firefox.

It's just that we like Microsoft more.

Plus, Firefox is almost unknown to the general public.

I just hope it doesn't kill my themes. Though I think they've been updated for 3 RCs.

Korean banks all standardized on a 128-bit encryption scheme that wasn't supported by so-called "international" browsers, namely ones that could be shipped out of the US without running afoul of the government's restrictions on distributing encryption technologies. (These regulations have since been rescinded.) The only browser plug-in made originally was one for Internet Explorer, so anyone wanting to do online banking in Korea needed to use IE. This article describes an effort started in 2005 by the Korean Post Office to develop a equivalent plugin for Mozilla browsers. I have no idea whether this project was completed or how successful the distribution of the plugin has been.

(I actually found the comment in the article that the KPO was going to roll out Linux to 4,700 desktops even more interesting. I hadn't seen any news of this initiative before. Wonder how it fared?)

Wow, I really hope you were joking there... or that you at least have a coherent reason for saying that >_> (BTW, I believe not even Microsoft zealots can be caught saying IE is a good browser).

Either way, the problem with FF 3 is that it's still behind in terms of plugin compatibilities. There are workarounds, but they don't work all the time.

Other than that, the RC1 has been working wonderfully on my Linux box, better than version 2.0. For some strange reason, there were stability issues with the Linux client for Beta 5 (which unfortunately is the one Ubuntu 8.04 ships with), but other than that, it's been a smooth ride.

I already tried FireFox 3 a week ago. I reinstalled 2 instantly after seeing how ugly Firefox 3 looks in Windows. And 90% of my addons/extensions didn't work after installing 3. Didn't even bothered testing it. But a friend told me it's a huge speed improvement compare to the old FF2.

So for people who have tons of addons it's better not to use 3 yet. Though you can still download it and help firefox in this somewhat pointless event

Eh, it doesn't look that different from 2. Could I get a screenshot of what you're talking about?

I'm not to sure how my FF 3 looked like, it's been over a week and i didn't looked at it for long. But i think it was something like this. Or it may as well been what your screenshot shows. And i think those green buttons are even uglier... I'm not to sure about how the favorites look in FF3. But i think when i saw it, i was also like.. WTH in a bad way.

My current FF2 looks like this.

A good old FF2 skin can probably fix the FF3 skin thing. But i couldn't find one at that moment. And not sure if there is one even now. I'm using Windows XP SP3 btw.

Forgive my ineptitude, but aside from those two buttons I still can't see what's so different from 2.0 to freak you out in that manner. And it's not something that can't be themed, either. The only thing that your screenshot has different is the bookmarks toolbar, but that also came by default with 2.0 and it's easily removed in 3, too.

Perhaps it's the "smart" address bar thingie (which also looks different when suggesting full urls)? It's the only tweak that's got a quite big camp of detractors. It's kind of stupid at first, but once you use it enough, it becomes quite nifty.

It's nothing that would kill the world or anything. But i'm just one of those persons who gets annoyed by some of the most smallest/ trivial things... While some bigger things leave me unaffected

Guess you can call me a odd one at that. But for now i will just wait till they release a FF2 skin as well as a addons update. I can probably get use to the skin. But i really need my addons
