I can go for either as long Index dials down on the bitchiness. Yes, Mikoto is guilty of that as well, but to a much lesser degree. Kind of... she did go to the other side of the world to pick him up, that's hard to beat.

It doesn't necessarily meant he gone to war but his target is fiamma. It just happen his the instigator of war.

Touma still can't leave index, aside from she is the first to confess to him. Touma has an obligation to his past self that sacrifce itself to save index. Index won't be left behind that's for sure.

It sounds so ugly when put that way, like Touma is forcing himself to keep Index around. Outside of the financial aspect, that is, he's always forcing himself there.

Guys, you clearly have it all wrong Touma needs Kanzaki. She's an elder-sister type that's perfect for him.

More seriously though, Index loved Touma 1st. Touma still lives with Index even though she can be remotely controlled from a far-away place to decimate the city (I don't think he knows that though...) It makes sense why they live together. One of them is the magic side's best way of attacking AC, the other is the science side's best method attacking the magic side and Touma protects Index while Index protects Touma

Basically if either one is destroyed, the corresponding side will win the war.

Anyway, in terms of Mikoto who is the public face of AC, if Touma ever did start to date her, wouldn't it actually be a big deal Also, Aleister wants to keep Touma away from the news at all costs, so I doubt he would let this happen until he's gone/defeated.

if we look it from outsiders view then yes, it looks like Touma is just keeping index out of responsibility but in personal view of kamijou. Index is like a pillar of hope for him. Index is his connection to his past which is why he won't leave her be. Two comes in set of one. Which is also why its like imprinting in cases of the first person you see will be considered your parent or relative.
