Reading both Maou and Alsiels' profiles was interesting, but reading the additional notes at the bottom of their pages was straightforwardly hilarious.

Emilias' notes were funny to read, but what makes Maou and Alsiel so crazy comically is they live together by themselves in the same flat, inspiring plethora upon plethora of doujinshi, fanfiction, and fan art involving Maou as the husband and Alsiel as the housewife.

Normally I'd hate to see fanfiction coming out of this, boy would it be amusing to see what kind of fanfiction will be coming out of this. I'm sort of surprised this anime became the one I look forward to before this season, I didn't even pay any attention to this.

Also, under "reason for application" he says "I never wished for this..."

I value opening and ending animation as much as the next guy, so for those curious, the show will debut its proper animated opening in episode 5, just confirmed today. We should be getting the proper ED soon, too, I hope.

It took Hyakko longer to get this point, so episode 5 isn't that bad.

Finally get to watch the first 2 episodes. Really enjoying it.

I know this is a comedy, but I just don't get it as to why Maou-sama has grown soft and actually turn into a nice guy after ariving to earth. Now, he's the guy who just give up his umbrella to someone he though was a complete stranger and giving advices his fellow coworker. These actions doesn't benefit him or his goals to regain his powers. I find it hard to believe how he's the very same person who looked down on humans as scum he wants to rule over them back in Ente Isla.

The Hero reminds me of Hinagiku in HnG in lots of ways from her hair to her tsundere tomboyish personality and she complements nicely with Maou-sama somewhat girly looks.

Well, just like the base material, I'm kinda disappointed with how Emi and Chiho start off at arms with each other, but then suddenly become all close and friendly because a roof crashes down on them. I get that they aren't fighting in an emrgency, but after they were pracitcally going to war with each other just a minute earlier, now they're shaking hands and being nice. It's just too quick.

Aside from that though, the same good ol' antics from the crew and such, along with plot developments.

Next week, we get background on the hero Emilia.

Ep3 showed one more time why I find this show so refreshing: It's different.

Maou isn't a bumbling idiot during the date, and neither is he ignorant-aloof. He acts reasonably considerate and kind. When is the last time that an anime show has incorporated a proper, NORMAL date which doesn't make you cringe due to at least one of the two making a total fool of themselves?

Besides, I think Emilia's antics will never grow old for me ^_^

Shinji103: I see your point, but Chii-chan is simply very _kind_ by disposition, and at this stage Eimi isn't really romantically interested in Maou. If she isn't ticked off by being (still incorrectly) treated as a former girlfriend, she has no reason to be angry at Chii-chan either. In fact, i genuinely believe her that her interference actually _was_ for Chii-chan's sake, as much as it was misunderstoof by her.

Romcom clichés, meh. At least they didn't make them too obnoxious, but I really could've done without the obligatory "I feel self-conscious about my bust size" scene. -_- (Or the ending illustration, for that matter.)

Ashiya giving Maou a makeover was hilarious XD well, at least one of them is not completely oblivious... And Ashya & Emi stalking Maou was also funny, with their "she's not worth him" "no, he's not worth her" attitudes. XD

There were some nice jokes, too, like the "You're a devil..." "Yes I am, what of it?" or "Well, I am supposed to be a bother to you"... xDDDD (Also, Emi hitting Ashiya where it hurts. XD)

The end, though, maybe it was supposed to be serious but to me it came off silly... It reminded me so much of Seto no hanayome, where the unassuming looking Nagasumi would randomly transform into a Kenshirou-esque form when he needed to kick serious ass. XD;; (I looked up the scene in the book and the only change was supposed to be the eyes, the horns and the hooves, as he doesn't have all his powers back yet.)

I hope we'll see Alciel's demon form again, I wonder what that thing was at his back... a tail?

I wouldn't call that close or friendly, at least not on Chiho's side. But Emi told her she really wasn't Maou's ex, and she decided to believe her for the time being. Also, the building crashed down on them, it's not like there's a point in having a catfight over nothing.
