Well, I don't really post here much, so this would be a start I suppose. o_O

Here are my first few attempts at signatures after reading a relatively simple tut. Majority of it consists of render + filtered background + color balance, so I don't have too many comments on them:











It was about this time that I found these, where simple animated sigs caught my interest. So since I was a complete noob, all I could think to do was this, basically another render on a background but with some color animation:


Lol I lerned how to do rounded corners o_O


<3 loli's (even grown up ones). another simple one, but it still looks nice (in my arrogant opinion :3)


It was about this time that I started to get more into animation. Because I was a total noob like I said before, I never knew how complicated it could be o_O
Here was my first attempt:


This one was done as a request for a friend. Have to say, even though I used literally no effects, I still think its one of my more visually appealing ones (maybe that's just asa :3) - Stolen off a certain someone's hard drive.


Here's when I "realized" I sucked at all things animation and pretended that animated text/static image was win:

Oh, this image will always have a special place in my heart. My first ever suigintou sig o.o


Another person saw the suigintou sig and requested this one, which sparked a whole moment of "oh crap i don't know where to put the text... let's just make it animated, that will fix everything!"


Another little request which I think turned out much better than I had originally thought it did o_O Again, disappearing / appearing name >.>


Mmm, its time for some more Suigintou worship.
This one was a nice image, and made what I thought was a nice sig at the time o_O. Too bad the font is so messed up. I probably should have given the text a fill color rather than leaving the middle transparent, and a different font and possibly even a different color stroke would have helped.

Another forum was running a sig competition with kyon/haruhi as the theme. With Valentine's day coming up that weekend, this is what I made.

The next competition the forum ran had a theme of naruto shippuden. Since no one seemed to be entering, I used my leet skills and came up with this gem:


Rawrhar, render on a background with more sexy added.


Bump and turn... far too big for my tastes, i should have attempted to make it smaller x___x


Another request for a friend, I pulled the animation part off of an episode x.x Not pleased with what I did to the render though, I probably should have just left it alone.


Another request for a friend who wanted a 'cute' sig. I found out I had big trouble attempting to do one x___x.


More requests. This is definitely one of my favorite signatures, some kind of magic happened or some god blessed my brush with amazingness when I made this. (if you don't like it, i </3 you)


No comment on this one o_O. I tried to do it in a certain style and really couldn't <.<


Moar animation. Even though I didn't particularly love the series Noir, I couldn't help but make a signature out of part of the ending credits. And always remember - collarbones are sexy.


Mmm, Clare sig. Nothing else to say, except that attempting to create rocks was harder than I thought it'd be - eventually I just tried to hide them away :x


Another request o_O: More render on a background, but with a heavier focus on lighting. Rather bland otherwise.


Another attempt at a more 'realistic' rather than abstract signature, I <33 this one a lot o:. If only I had taken the time to render a little bit better though >.>


An attempt to return to more abstract backgrounds, I rather like how this one turned out, even if the render looks out of place:


Yoko! (with quite a power up to her rifle o_O) Personally I love everything in this but the text o: I will probably change it eventually.

Yeah, the only ones where I attempted any kind of size shrinking were ones that I was going to use on these boards o_o

nice... though is it me or does the BG seem to not be as cleanly blended as it should be? maybe its just my poor eyes, or maybe that cut on the right side of the render was done on purpose... /shrug...

Well, I've never really tried that style before so I was just messing around a bit ^^
The render is oddly cut because I cut it myself from a screencap x.x So relatively poor quality from an episode + my own lack of rendering skills... rawr >_> And the anime its from is called Inukami, a very fun anime I just recently watched o:

And thanks innominate, that entry actually inspired a few other people to enter with paint signatures of their own. xD

, i like your new one, i cant really see anything wrong other than a little rough cut render, and even taht is being picky.

waht kind of brushes did oyu use on the right side? i really like that effect, and am going batty trying to find the right brushes.

Actually, I didn't use brushes on the right side, that was just the bottom right corner of this c4d.
