Have you tried visiting the poems section? The poems for Minagoroshi-hen and Matsuribayashi-hen have been there for about a week now.

I know there is a translation of Minagoroshi-hen underway, but a lot of veterans have suggested that people play through the arcs covered in the anime on their own, so I was wondering, can we make some kind of thread for Japanese support amongst people who are playing the old arcs in Japanese and may need help? I checked the Learning Japanese thread in general chat, but it seems to be more general chatter about studying Japanese than specific questions. I think playing through HNNKN IS a good chance to practice Japanese, and I'm not proposing a thread for people to stick whole translations - rather, a place for people to ask specific questions - I played through Onikakushi-hen and had a hard time in quite a few places that WWWJDIC and my dictionary couldn't help me with.

Anyway, just a selfish request! Thanks for listening! ^^

I would like to suggest that we have TWO Higurashi question threads, one where spoilers can be posted and one where they can't. In the current Higurashi question thread, just stopping by to ask a simple question like "What kind of a game is this?" or "Is the anime fairly true to the game?" can lead to you seeing massive spoilers.

I'm afraid it does not. There are a lot of questions it does not answer, and even attempting to look can lead to massive spoilers. I was among those who went there looking for basic info and ended up seeing a spoiler while looking in a section that should not have had any. That's part of the reason I came here and suggested that thread.

I saw this at the lucky star forum and thought it was a good idea. A thread that gives links to various amvs that was made for higurashi. I've seen a lot on youtube, but no place where people can recommend good amvs and/or discussing the amvs themselves. Especially since the sequal is coming out, im sure there will be even more amvs poping out.

Hi. I was wondering if we could have a thread for discussing and posting parodies and music videos. To avoid it becomming a long list of URLs, the ground rule could be that all links to videos should have
- Who made it
- Music and music artist
- Why do you want to share it with us
- What parts of Higurashi, if any, does the video spoil?

Sound like a good idea?

By the way, regarding the Wikipedia article:

Some of the people at Wikipedia have decided to remove spoiler warnings and also to start removing images, so there might be a need for another Wiki now that the new anime season is comming out.

I dislike Wikipedia for many reasons.>_<

I like the idea for a videos thread. No one watches them when they are posted in the Fanart section, and that's really not the right place for them.

Not sure it matters, because no mods seem to be around here anymore.O_O My suggestion has been up there for awhile, but no one's said anything...
