EU finals - brilliant.

NA finals - pathetic.

Confirmed EU has two contenders and NA one. Hopefully that 2nd EU contender gets through the regional qualifiers without issue.

Although good luck versing a couple of certain teams from Korea and China that are in form right now.

I would have liked for DFM to win wildcards but alas, they suck and are eliminated. Japan sucks so much at computer games zzz. A shame.

I've been going Titanic Hydra + Black Cleaver (then full tank) on champions like Renekton and Olaf top and Trinity Force + Sterak's Gage (then full tank) for champs like Irelia Top. The combination of the two items of each case is stupid strong.

I prefer dead man's plate with it personally. And Rek'sai with it/cinder/cleaver is really fun.

When I mean full tank it include Dead man's plate and then usually a magic resist item such as locket or spirit visage depending on what's needed.

I frigging love the gauntlets. It kinda killed my social life this weekend (heck, I haven't been able to find time to post between the gauntlets and the party ip weekend), but it's so worth it for these games. In fact, I enjoyed the gauntlets more than the playoffs themselves, but then again the winners of both the gauntlets were my teams of choice in their respective regions. XD

Their insistence to keep using the same juggermaw strategy, with almost the same picks despite it not succeeding, on top of their poor execution had this final loss being inevitable for them. Their wins looked sloppy against Gravity and Liquid, and this week they didn't improve. Much needed wake up call for them, as the world stage is going to be much tougher. Though I've always been a TSM fan ever since S1 when it was made to beat CLG, I'm actually partly thankful they have lost. Reason being is that Liquid looks terrible as is, and I would have hated for them to auto-qualified. Sure TSM is the dreaded 2nd seed (group stage with Fnatic, LGD, or first place Korea isn't something I'm looking forward to), but I'd rather have TSM and CLG go to worlds rather than TSM and the current Liquid. Like sure, I would have no qualms about Liquid go to worlds... IF they win the gauntlet. Winning against a dismembered TIP isn't something that impressed me, so I'd only approve of Liquid if no other team of C9/Gravity can beat TIP, and Liquid beats that team. DemonOfWrath Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2011	Spoiler for CLG vs TSM: I saw the last two games, that was quite the pounding, and Zion's Gnar is pretty awesome. I think the Kog'Maw was fine for TSM, turtle actually did a lot of work on it (was about all the kept them in game 2 for so long). Putting Bjerg on Yasuo was a bad idea though, they should've just banned if they couldn't deal with it as he didn't have much impact on that champ. And just to be pedantic, it wasn't a juggermaw at all (that's when you stack shields/buffs on Kog and he basically frontlines with super speed). Having seen that, I think TSM is going to get smashed at worlds unless they get a super easy group draw (which may not actually be possible for them now? Depends on how good Taiwan seed #2 is). Their drafting is pretty bad and limited by their playstyle of Bjerg or bust (and keep Lulu away so he can't make someone else carry instead) and against a strong early game team with a decent mid/late game they fall apart (compare today to vs TL). They really didn't look very good today. CLG on the other hand should be interesting to see at worlds. They should be pretty hard to pick/ban against (I'd say try and ban Xmithie out and see how they cope?) and their early game looks good enough that we'll hopefully see some good games between them and whatever korean or chinese team(s) get put in their group (ok, I also just want to see how Zion stacks up against Smeb or Ssumday, or really any other beastly top laner). Taking into account all the possible variations for groups I'd say they've got good odds at getting through, although I'll hedge my bets and say it's unlikely they make semis until we see them against teams with either comparable early games or who are capable of playing well from behind (I mean, compare TSM playing from behind to KOO last week, it's worlds different). As a mainly LCK viewer I really want to see CLG vs KOO or KT (no, I don't think they're beating Faker, erm, SKT), those should be some pretty good games.

Being able to use things like Ashe and Malphite and someone finally uses Riven in the playoffs this split (of course it was Faker) this split. For all that the changes to Gangplank have boosted him, Riven still looks like a more potent choice to me. Good form at the better time of year and showing champs they haven't played much if at all - a good place for SK Telecom to be with worlds on the horizon. __________________
