May I say that Hidan no Aria basically ruined my view of MF Bunko J?

I came for the worldbuilding, that sucked. I dropped the anime series at Episode 5.
The others managed to cling on to the romance. That eventually sucked too.

Let's say that HnA dropped the bunko j's quality but that doesnt means that other series were crappy also.

One series I'm currently enjoying is your avatar itself (HenNeko) and Haganai. Most fantasy settings series that came from this imprint aren't bad at all, Asterisk, Madan, Kenbu, and MachineDoll are quite good in my personal opinion.

Most notable in this imprint btw are the ecchi scenes

This....

I'm still sad for this. Zero no Tsukaima is the one that started everything for me in light novel (together with kaze no stigma) and I can't believe that they both are.... not going to see the end.

I still want to see the ending of the author

thats true but ZnT's anime ending is most likely what's gonna happen at the ending of the novel though its a bit rushed but still Yamaguchi-sensei himself thought of that ending

I see that everybody has deleted from their minds that IS was once MF Bunko J's property

Rather than Aria, I would say that's the one series that has dropped the bunko j's quality and brought about the escalation of fear that Harem romcom would take over the world.

Let's see, series is called "Soshite Fumetsu no Regunare" written by Masaki Masamune (真崎まさむね) & illustrated by Gil N Pyo (ぴょん吉)

It's something like some high school students who had obtained a special physical ability due to past accidents and going to a special school in a different world where they can battle.

Probably not.

Every year there is a newcomer contest where those who wants to become a LN author submit their work in order to get an award. One of the judges said, "This is MF! We need ecchiness!".

So yeah. That proves why MF is filled with harem and ecchi LN lol.
There was also Q&A where one of the question was "Does it have to be harem or story with many heroines?". Though the answer was "No", the fact that it has the question up proves how MF focuses on those genre.

That one is a story of the boy named Takeru. He's a Japanese boy who lives in Japan but he's different from others because he has a monster like strength and speed.
His grandpa is already dead but he left a dojo. Takeru went to that dojo, and something mysterious happened where he was transported to another world. He falls on the girl called Sakuya(the one in the cover).
In their world there are 7 god-like weapons. 7 countries posses them including Yamato(Name of Japan in their world). But Sakuya is the only Yamato(Japanese) left. So she thought Takeru was talking crap. They then got out of the place they were because Sakuya was trespassing in the property of Kamerica(America of their world). Sakuya explains that they are in a floating island where only those chosen can come to. Its a academy floating island where they battle with swords. Majority of students fights using replica of the 7 swords. Though only the representatives uses one of those 7 sword and Sakuya is one of them.
Takeru disguises the next day because he's interested in this world. He ends up fighting one of the students where he gets accepted as a student after defeating her.
And yeah. Well, there's more after that, but it would become a summary if i explained even more.
But I'll say this before hand, but this LN basically potrays the Kamerica(America) as the bad guy. We have the representative who started attacking Takeru after his battle to see his strength where she didnt care whether other studnets died. And we had another Kamerican student who wanted Sakuya and her sword. He wanted Sakuya because Yamato bores child with incredible strength. The author makes him look bad by having him bash her to pulp by breaking her arms and steeping on her.

It's fine because everyone needs something that caters to their tastes and having a dedicated harem publication would make things easier.

I stumbled across this a few weeks back while searching for Ika Musume on CD Japan.

Sorry; dynamic content not loaded. Reload?

Doesn't sound like a harem, but it may just predate MF's shift in that direction.
