Rather than responding with an attack, why don't you state your position clearly? Do you, in fact, support this position that the creators of this series should have made the Sisters appear less human rather than more? Do you genuinely believe this would have improved people's reactions to them, whether emotionally, or on any other level? Do you truly believe doing that would have had a positive impact on the ratings and/or sales figures for this series?

If that is what you really believe, then people can continue to debate with you. There would be some point to it. If you do not truly believe the position you are advocating, however, then the debate is pointless, because no matter what logic is used to disprove your position, you have no reason to acknowledge it. You can ignore it, or use word games to dance around it, because in that case you won't care about the actual position you're advocating: all you care about is causing the argument.

So what is it?

This is amusing.

So coming across as an academic position some how means that I don't genuinely support the idea? So I should be more emotional to seem genuine?

Quite frankly it's rather insulting.

However, none of it is still trolling like what you have accused me of, I was not inflammatory, the topic was still regarding this episode, and if you somehow had an emotional response that's on you for not thinking objectively.

...And you still don't answer the question. THAT comes across as trolling.

For the eyes thing, if they were gonna change, I rather it be gray and blank now, then after touma saves them, it goes to look more like now to show they have more of an identity now instead of just like a machine.

Really? Maybe the mods would feel differently.

I was not inflammatory, the topic was still regarding this episode, and if you somehow had an emotional response that's on you for not thinking objectively.

Blank, sure, but not gray. They're supposed to be clones, they're eye colors should bloody match, not have brown-eyed Mikoto and a bunch of gray-eyed clones.

He has already. Honestly, you're the one getting annoying.

"Do you mean it?" "do you really mean it?" "do you really really mean it?" ... *repeat ad nauseum.

Just let it go. If you still think he is a troll then stop replying to him. And if you don't, then also stop it unless you have an argument that can move forward the discussion.

Or basically the episode itself was so boring that discussing about designs is more enjoyable ..

Design discussion can be interesting. There are already a lot of online discussion about it. Did you know? Mikoto had long hair during the novel's draft stage. She was created to show to demonstrate the power right hand guy. So, her ESP is over the top, but she still loses to the right hand guy. For comparison, her attitude during the draft was supposedly more snobbish. Now, she's been voted as most favorable character in the show. The author's friend told him that he liked to meet someone as Mikoto, in real life.

Mikoto's little sisters are making the interesting comparison. Their dull attitude is making the funny contrast with the original.

Personally, I don't see any problem with this new design at all. In fact, I think it's great in reminding us that the Sisters are also human, especially after witnessing the birth of one of them.

To me one of the more important factors is that each clone has her own little personality quirks.

Physically they may be the same, but they are actually different people.

Because of this I tend to approve of the design change to make them more physically identical to the original.

Same for me. That's why I was a bit dissappointed that they removed the tea scene, it shows the gourmand tendency that only 9982 displays.

I know there is still more about it, which won't be skipped judging by the preview. But still...

Though exactly like that, those quirks can show their humanity without redesigning the eyes... Then again, since the "empty" eyes are technically a perception and not what they are supposed to look like, the change is not that troublesome.

At the end of the day, it's a decision similar to what they did with Nunotaba. They determined that the impression to convey could be achieved through means other than the visual design.

Whether being brazen or subtle is better for animation is too much of a subjective matter for me to confidently give a definite veredict.

Isn't the design fine? the way they are clone of Mikoto and should look like her and its Mikoto's pov. Not ours, Not Touma but hers. And to her they are human. So changing the design for the eyes shouldn't be a big deal -_-

And I find it funny that it turn into a whole new thread just to discuss this one.

I understand everything now, if this anime done so it was Mikoto POV and the sisters look more humanlike then Shinobu looks cute to Mikoto because those creepy deadfish eyes remind her of gekota.

Mystery solved.

Maybe they'll give that scene as a flashback..... I hope they do, it was pretty funny.

Do we know for sure it's removed? The preview isn't exactly a good judge to go on...

'Assuming' this is not a form of mistake and they carry the design onwards then they should also do it to Index s3 but if they didn't heck even in the cd release of railgun s they must retain that eye but if they did ever change that then all argument fall to pieces... an error in their part...

Them having 'lively' eyes yet lacking emotions is like saying one thing and doing the opposite...
They lack emotions because the data dumped into them are only raw facts minus 20001/LO all thanks to fish eyes...

With the issue that since they're a clone thing so they should look like her like 100% minus the verbal thick they shouldn't they also have the same voice actress? Yet they didn't...
If They're 100 perfect copy no cuts no buts no coconuts then everything the original has, they also must have it physical features, 'eyes' and voice... but that's not the case...
in the wiki
Quote:
'In all drawn apperances, the clones' eyes are distinctly different from that of Mikoto or Last Order, seeming lifeless, though none of the characters seem to acknowledge or notice this, so it can be assumed that they might be just guidelines for the audience, as so they can differentiate the clones from Mikoto'
If they are really fixing it the they should also discard the voice actress of the sisters...

There are two scenes related to 9982 and tea. They could use the first scene as a flashback within the second scene.
