Problem with gifs?
Don't know if it's just me but everyone using the "heh" emote comes out as this:
Problem with the gifs as a whole? It also appears as such in the regular new post page.

My issue is that it comes out even in the emoticon selecting in the new post page and every heh gif in this board. No issues in other places and clearing my cache doesn't fix. It's not obstructive bust just sort of an annoyance.

When you say "Heh" you mean ? Obviously I don't see the problem happening myself.
Chances are it is a problem your end or we'd have had more complaints by now. What browser are you using? Do you have the same problem in another browser, assuming you're able to try another browser. Also does the problem happen when you are logged in and logged out? Can you take a screen shot of the problem and share it with us. |

Well here's a cap of how I see your post.
So basically the smiley gets replaced by that guy who comes from probably Dragon Age or something. I use Chrome exclusively, and doesn't change when I re-log or clear the cache, and only happens for this forum.

What do you mean by problem with gifs as a whole? Are the other smilies not working nor can you see gif avatars/signatures/profile pictures properly? Did you try replicating the problem on a mobile device (and different network).
Can you see the 'heh' if you access it directly? I.e. does give you ? If you can then I think it's an issue with the server communicating with your device. Go to the advanced reply page (this) and hit ctrl-u (I'm using chrome as well). A new tab should open with a lot of text. Press ctrl-f to find 'Generic Smilies' and take a screen shot of the section like this. Next, find '<legend>Smilies</legend>' and capture this section. Maybe by looking at the code the staff can figure out if there's some corrupted data sent over.

As for the Youtube issue, do both of the below have the same problem? Which browser are you using, and do you have JavaScript/Flash/anything else disabled?

For the sake of it, could you try seeing what happens if Chrome updates? (You can go to the menu and "About Google Chrome" to trigger it.) I'm on Chrome 39 here (stable branch) with Flash Player 16.0.0.235, and it seems to be working okay.

Getting this error again. Got that in the past and reinstalled chrome completely to what I have now but it still won't update automatically. Google advices to install the template but when I try to add it, it simply ... doesn't happen.
If anyone knows the cause I'd be grateful. |
