Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away OSTs

The Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away soundtracks have just been released on itunes for the first time in the American market (took them long enough, am I right?).

I absolutely love the music from Miyazaki's films and I am really looking forward to buying these soundtracks.

Joe Hisaishi, Film Composer Par Excellence

Joe Hisaishi is one of my favorite film composers. If I'm not mistaken, he does the soundtracks for virtually all of Hayao Miyazaki's theatrical animated features, including most definitely Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away.

Several years ago, I bought the North American domestic releases of the Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away movie soundtrack CDs, as well as the Princess Mononoke Symphonic Suite CD.

Amazon.com has some mp3 downloads of Hisaishi music too, and without DRM, which is a big plus. Don't buy DRMed stuff, you shouln't get restricted where to play the music if you payed for it.
I especially recommend the songs on the 'Hisaishi Meets Miyazaki Films' album.
Now if they only would sell the music compressed in a lossless format.....

Bye, signorRossi.

I bought both OST on CD ages ago and ripped them myself, so no need for Itunes.

Joe Hisaishi is my favorite movie composer. He also composed most of Takeshi Kitano live-action movies' sountracks. They definitely are worth checking out.

Definitely the best choice, you get CD quality music without DRM and have a hard copy that lasts many years. It's just that for example the album I pointed to at Amazon costs half as much downloaded as mp3, but I won't buy music on-line unless it is in a lossless format, though.
Hisaishi is also one of my favourite composers, he is simply awesome. Anyone heard already of the gig he is doing this summer?
