My biggest beef with this is that they claimed to have this to be only 15 minutes because of lots of action scenes, which was true I guess. But seriously, with the 'bad' animation, I thought they would've been able to make this a full episode in its own right.

Otherwise, pretty funny actually. YYEAAARRT!

I was expecting an anime with proper animation and a stupid premise executed seriously (kind of like Afro Samurai), not Inferno Cop 2.0. This is just plain shit. Never dropped anything this fast.

I kind of had a good laugh at the way they "animated" the thing. Well, I'll just say there's a need for a break against all those commonly excellent animations, if I may say so.

Also for a low-score ranker it boasts one hell of a soundtrack. Liked the one where Fujiki-- err, Ninja Slayer was running through the highways eating sushi. And that scene was hilarious I just can't stop replaying it.

1 episode is barely enough to judge a series.
Maybe the slideshow animations are just for fun and the next ones get normal and proper animations? It's Trigger, you never know!

The collectively affronted reactions to Ninja Slayer is proof that people take anime way too seriously.

Oh my god. XD It both met my expectations, and exceeded it in some ways.

Who cares if it's almost Flash-level animation? I was laughing through it due to how ridiculous the premise was.

I just hope only the dialogue scene would contain the stiff animations, but the main fighting and other scenes should be well animated as seen in if serious the animation is pretty darn badass.

Also my new word add to my vocabulary YEAAARRT!!!

That was a bunch of hot garbage. It's diarrhea in cartoon form.

And no, it's not even a guilty pleasure.

For those who might be interested in the source material, I just made a thread for it in the Manga/LN section.

I kind of gained some understanding why Trigger made it the way it is, but I have to admit they could've given it a... kinder treatment by giving it some serious animation. Well, from what I heard that will come sometime around next year, but I guess for now let's just watch it for the fun of it shall we?

(At least I now know the name of that blonde biker chick in the OP and what she does in the story. )

So the tv version will have new animation? Is that confirmed?
Well, i understand why they wouldn't air something like this on tv.

No, they've mentioned something about a 2016 TV broadcast, but there are no concrete details. For all we know, it might be a mere joke (and will never happen....at the end of the day, the main purpose of their announcement was to stress their emphasis on modern viewing habits and delivery methods) or a slightly enhanced version.

The video discs go on sale soon, so this seems to be the real thing. It's obviously an attempt to monetize the overseas hype around Inferno Cop (which caused quite a stir but was never designed to make money....IIRC, Trigger even tried to bait a reaction from Americans by hinting at a hypothetical Inferno Cop 2 at AX 2014. Turns out they had nothing planned on that end, and it was a ruse to get people anticipating something on social media, etc.), and the global streaming strategy seems intended to promote a similar stir.

Had to laugh at some of the action scenes again but damn, is it me or does Ninja Slayer looked fired up this episode? In that raging way.

I liked the second episopde, although 12 minutes is too long, I guess - I tired a little at the end.

This is the most stupidest show ever and worse than that crappy vampire detective anime.....

I. Am. Sold.

I find myself seriously grinning like an idiot over this show and its ridiculousness. This was MADE for someone like Adult Swim or FXX..

I do wish this had real animation instead of Inferno Cop flash, but given the content I guess Trigger couldn't have expected it to sell in Japan anyway.

Still hilarious nonetheless
