My biggest beef with this is that they claimed to have this to be only 15 minutes because of lots of action scenes, which was true I guess. But seriously, with the 'bad' animation, I thought they would've been able to make this a full episode in its own right.
Otherwise, pretty funny actually. YYEAAARRT!

I was expecting an anime with proper animation and a stupid premise executed seriously (kind of like Afro Samurai), not Inferno Cop 2.0. This is just plain shit. Never dropped anything this fast.

I kind of had a good laugh at the way they "animated" the thing. Well, I'll just say there's a need for a break against all those commonly excellent animations, if I may say so.
Also for a low-score ranker it boasts one hell of a soundtrack. Liked the one where Fujiki-- err, Ninja Slayer was running through the highways eating sushi. And that scene was hilarious I just can't stop replaying it.

I just hope only the dialogue scene would contain the stiff animations, but the main fighting and other scenes should be well animated as seen in if serious the animation is pretty darn badass.
Also my new word add to my vocabulary YEAAARRT!!!

For those who might be interested in the source material, I just made a thread for it in the Manga/LN section.
I kind of gained some understanding why Trigger made it the way it is, but I have to admit they could've given it a... kinder treatment by giving it some serious animation. Well, from what I heard that will come sometime around next year, but I guess for now let's just watch it for the fun of it shall we? (At least I now know the name of that blonde biker chick in the OP and what she does in the story. )

The video discs go on sale soon, so this seems to be the real thing. It's obviously an attempt to monetize the overseas hype around Inferno Cop (which caused quite a stir but was never designed to make money....IIRC, Trigger even tried to bait a reaction from Americans by hinting at a hypothetical Inferno Cop 2 at AX 2014. Turns out they had nothing planned on that end, and it was a ruse to get people anticipating something on social media, etc.), and the global streaming strategy seems intended to promote a similar stir. |
