IMO The Buddha aliens arc is going to take up alot of this season, there just so much action, character development, and

For all we know, they may decide to end the whole series at 2nd Stage with an alien fight not found in the manga and pop their own Gantz explanation to Kurono & viewers then.

I'm kinda possitive is the buddha alien arc because they show some 3D buddha in the new opening. ^^

What we are saying is the Buddha/Ashuras arc will be the first fight, then there will be a second fight. Whether the second fight would follow the manga or not was the issue I was bringing up.

what makes you think that? i thinks they intend to keep the manga, in any case if the series gets cancelled after this season they could leave it without ending, like many other series out there, Berserk anyone?

Yeah I think they gona stick with the manga too, specially with the animation in the ending song, if that is a clue what's going to happen in the ashura mission. Second stage probably gona end with the nasty short alien. But who knows, I didn't expect them to stretch 2 mission into 13 episodes, I swear the manga was so fast.

I finally got my JP DVD

It only contains 3 ep.

But it comes with some info and post cards, heres some interesting info

1- the ending credits in the DVD is the same as the ending airing right now (Kei, Kouta, & Kishimoto walking)

2- there is a scene cut out where Kei imagines the whole class nude, and that one girl tells on him for

well you know what (which is wierd because they run the same kinda scene in 14, but with Kishimoto

). Not to mention the other ecchi scenes, Kishimoto & the dog, Kei & Kishimoto's first encounter

3- Uncut Violence, like The Leech alien arc which delivers on the gore

. Dismenbered bodies, Decapataions, Alien Gore.

Actually that scene was intact in the FujiTV broadcast too...

thats about it...

but personally, i prefer the uncensored ones. like the manga.

After reading the manga, I've come to see how the anime fails to deliver because of the editing. The extreme gore and nudity, while they may seem irrelevant, actually do provide depth to the story. Without those elements, the full gritty/dark/horrifying environment of what these characters are going through doesn't seem to come out as well. What the manga does lack, however, is fluidity of motion and music, but the anime doesn't do too well in those departments either. The artwork in the manga is very good as well as consistent, which is somewhat of a contrast from the anime.

Hmm... I always consider the music in this series quite good and maybe the only advantage over the manga version... or maybe it's just my personal taste that I like this kind of music...

me too. i first downloaded just to hear the music. then i saw the manga then i saw the anime.

Did anyone else picture Kishimoto to be blonde? She still just doesn't look right to me with that hair. Maybe it's just me.

Question #1 : Yes.

Question #2 : No.

Question #3 : 2 episodes worth of material were cut for TV, so yes, it's a lot better.

Question #4 : episode 14, I think episode 15 airs today.
