The first 2 episodes were pretty good for character/world building, MC is obviously OP but at least it's not his only personality trait so far. I want expecting the sex stuff lol, you would think the MC would have more siblings at the rate those 2 were going at it

I love MT, but seeing in now after all those knock offs that learned all wrong lessons from this story I have lot of more appreciation for what it does. Other MCs are already fighting monsters and making harem where Rudeus greatest achievemt is ... leaving yard. Instead of blatantly telling us Rudeus is best thing in the world, what we learned is that people around him (In this case Roxy) are great ones.
If anime continue do good job I might became actual fanboy.

Yeah, I really like the pacing here; hope it continues. So far the only thing I noticed they cut/changed was in the cumulonimbus spell. The test wasn't just to cast it, but to maintain it for a full hour as a demonstration of both casting ability and magic capacity. Instead of just building a thunderstorm and constantly forcing magic in to maintain it, Rudy went and made a supercell with a rotating updraft strong enough to maintain the storm for at least an hour without any additional help. Upon realizing the structure and how it maintained the storm, Roxy didn't even bother waiting the hour.
And yeah, the sex was a surprise. I recalled the parents banging every chance they got even in the manga (more informed than shown there), but they even had Roxy masturbating outside, which was indeed toned down in the manga. In any case, they're going a lot harder on the hero's painful past here. He was scum in his past life, but that was at least half done to him with stuff like we saw here. Really no wonder he'd lock himself in and be terrified of even leaving his room. That said, given that he skipped his parents' funeral and instead sat there jerking off to loli hentai, there's no surprise his brothers and sisters would kick him out like that. Isekai heroes tend more often to have fairly "normal" (read mildly popular and happy) pasts, so showing one whose life was so awful and left so much trauma makes this somewhat unique all on its own. |

Episode 1
Aye, truck-kun strikes again. I remember reading the novel a long time ago and Rudy is pretty much how I had expected him to be like in the anime. First episode is kinda entertaining but not a big fan of his personality. Roxy stands out more as one of the other characters, hope to see more of her for the season. As far as the animation looks, I really hope the studio can keep up the budget.

In the father of Isekai stories, we start out post truck-kun collision (although considering this is technically the progenitor of truck-kun, I shall henceforth dub him truck-san), and Tomokazu Sugita snarkily dying in his old form before reincarnating. Will we have the pleasure of Sugita's snark narrating his entire life in this new world? Is Rudy going to grow up and sound like Sugita? I kind of hope so
 . It was kind of neat that they actually showed us Rudy's birth, complete with everyone speaking the actual language of that world rather than just English from the start (since he hadn't learned the actual language yet)  . So, yeah, Rudy is a unfulfilled virgin old man in the body of a child, so he definitely has less than wholesome thoughts around the women in his life. At least he had the decency to not get off on breast-feeding from his new mom  Poor Lillia realizing the child of the house she serves is a degenerate, while his parents just assume he's being a baby... Rudy lucked out ending up with such young, loving, attractive, and affectionate parents as Paul and Zenith. I like how they cherish their child and are also obviously still loving as husband and wife, as Paul steals some kisses from his wife and we get to hear them go hot and heavy in the bedroom. Seems like Rudy was too focused on his reading to realize he could her his parents getting it on  .Rudy joked about his parents being a knight and a priestess getting together, but that apparently turns out to be the case. In fact they even promised each other that they'd train their child on their specialty depending on the gender, but now it looks like he'll get the training to be the best in both of his parents specialties  . Meet Rudy's magic teacher Roxy! Konomi Kohara is once again teaching, but this time she's playing a blunt, moody, blue-haired girl who is probably a little self-conscious about being short in various areas and how she screws up when she doesn't mean to. She's definitely really cute  .I love how Rudy couldn't keep the act going when he got a flash of Roxy's panties and tried to get a better look. Boy is a bonafide pervert  .

This seems so far to be an unapologetic power fantasy with the MC, Rudeus, being reborn as a prodigy in magic while being quite degenerate and possibly staying like that even in this next life. I guess I can stomach watching 2 cours of this even though Rudeus will probably think and even do things that are disgusting and not funny at all.

Loved the first episode!
Hope the animation budget stays at that level at least. Somehow felt as if Haruhi's Kyon fell into Grimgar's world. Loved the way the sexual content stayed, but in a stylish manner.
