In this anime, macca is probably generated by angst. That's why Hibiki gets so many macca. Speaking of Hibiki, he really grates on me in this episode. Sure his summons are stronger than some other people but it's so arrogant for him to think that he's the only "hero" capable of saving everyone.

Aside from Hibiki in general and some of the dialogue between Ronaldo/Hibiki/Yamato, I liked this episode a lot. The battle scenes looked great, Airi and Jungo were funny, Daichi was really quite heartwarming, and Joe's commentary on events was entertaining. |

still don't like how they made Airi looks too tall. Whenever there's a full body shot of her I just cringed at the legs.
otherwise I'm having a nice time seeing all those Seps being animated. They do feel powerful and threatening in this format

So I tried hard to ignore this so far, but what are they doing swinging their cell phones around after summoning the demons xD? I have yet to notice any evidence of them inputting any orders mid-fight, and they issue voice orders anyway, so what is that for?

I don't see Hibiki as arrogant at all. He has powerful demons and he wants to use them to save everyone. His desire to not let anyone else fight is because he doesn't want anyone to get hurt.
I think Hibiki is wrong to not rely on others (which Daichi and Io point out to him in this episode). That there are people who care about him too and it shouldn't be his burden alone. But I don't see anything arrogant about Hibiki wanting to protect everyone on his own. It's not like he is wrong about his demons. He is just wrong that is all his responsibility to protect everyone. But it's out of kindness not arrogance that he feels this way. Although I admit I am probably biased in Hibiki's favor because Kamiya Hiroshi but I do like him. He's sweet and not overbearing. I don't think he always makes the right decision but he isn't an idiot either. I was happy that he didn't push Io and Daichi away in the latest episode.

Yeah, I don't think Hibiki is arrogant or anything. It's just that he knows he's powerful and he can do what many people can't. (I think this is rather refreshing, at least he's not one of those protagonists who need a pep talk before every fight.) And quite understandably he doesn't want others, especially his friends, to get hurt because of following him into battle.
As for him being powerful, he's the main chara so I'm okay with that. He's supposed to be ~special. |

Lol Yamato is tsundere
The rebels are laughable. It seems that they just rebel for the sake of rebel. Who cares if Yamato has other plan after the Septentrione is defeated? Isn't the priority now is the survival of mankind? They thought they could do the job better than Yamato, and this episode showed that they are hopeless. |

I don't think Hibiki is arrogant, just stupid or slightly suicidal. How many times has this guy come close to getting killed and yet can push forward with the belief that he's got to do it alone? He's not going to save anyone if he keeps throwing himself in the line of fire on these solo runs. Can certainly see where his mindset is coming from, but it's going to get him killed. He certainly doesn't want to see anyone else get killed around him, but could take a moment to consider that others don't want to see him dead either.

Hibiki needs to trust his allies more. If he wants to go on the offense, get some people to set up defensive abilities so more people can be saved.
Yamato is right in one way that everyone needs to get stronger as the enemies aren't exactly pushovers, like Ronaldo thinks. |
