Count me in as one of few who also likes what he saw. Despite the seemingly cheap 3DCG, it looked good enough to to really bother me the way it does other people. It's definitely odd compared to the more traditional shows we've seen up till now, but I wouldn't call it bad just for that.

First episode was quite good, IMO. It helped set the mood, and the 3D wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it'd be when I saw the PVs. If they keep this up, it might become something good.

Spoiler for Episode 2:

The second episode was good, but it doesn't live up to its potential as much as episode 1. I enjoyed the beginning scene where Raishin tries to confront an enemy, but I am pretty indifferent to the execution. At least him and Yaya are working for an investigation that caused a tragedy in the past. Unfortunately Yaya, despite her overly happy personality, falls into the trap of the main girls who get pretty jealous to her partner getting close to another girl, that's not a good thing for me. However Raishin seems to get a okay job at foreshadowing his own love towards Charlotte. The ending left me really hyped for it!
I didn't even expect the show to air uncensored with a little nudity since I always have an impression that the series will have not enough of it, but still I'm hyped at some aspects. I don't enjoy the ending theme though, it felt like it doesn't fit to the British touch of the setting. I'll try my best to get used to it, but so far the series was a mixed bag.

have to say I got more used to the visual style in this episode. Got a clearer look at what is driving Raishin and what he's thinking. So about two years ago everything went to hell with his family getting slaughtered. Considering his scores you have to figure he wasn't the most talented member of his family, but that situation pushed him to work his ass off for the past two years for revenge.

Fun to have more Charlotte around and got some nice reactions from her in this one. Especially when things went from laying a trap to Raishin dragging her off on a date . That was just nice overall with the two of them getting to know each other a little. Certainly going to make things tough though if they ever matched up in that festival.

Raishin does like making things hard on himself. Could have had an easy time taking an entry from a lower ranked student that still qualified, but since he feels like it's stealing he's trying to pick a target that has a legitimate chance of beating him.

Seems like the target Raishin is after has similar techniques to the kind his family was supposed to have. The ability to use multiple automatons like an army corp. Just that Raishin doesn't have the talent or the lengthy training to pull that off. Best he can do is use a strong automaton like Yaya and make up for the lack of dolls with his own ability.

Will say that even if you figured the enemy wouldn't strike again so soon it was pretty risky to go out with Charlotte and leave Sigmund and Yaya vulnerable.

So... the student council president or whatever he is is the only person who is polite to Charl, is respected and admired by everyone, all the girls love him, he's asked Charl out on dates several times, and he's the one who's asking Raishin to investigate this Cannibal Candy incident.

I know those details don't seem connected, but... he seems too perfect, and it makes me suspicious. I give him 50/50 odds of actually being Cannibal Candy himself.

You forgot the most important part: his eyes. When was the last time a male character with perpetually closed eyes was a good guy?

That said, it'd be interesting if he wasn't, simply because it would subvert traditional harem genre by giving at least one of the girls an alternate love interest.

That's because we see his eyes open several times, so I didn't count it as a character trait. But still... I'm suspicious of him. My knowledge of the way stories work tells me that he is likely not as perfect as people in the story think he is.

Episode 2 was pretty good.

The pacing is good, the plot is decently interesting, and I find that these characters are growing on me pretty quickly. There's a certain humanity and sincerity to the characters that makes their quirks and oddities come off well.

From what I see, I think he is like equivalent to Kamijou Touma from Index/Railgun except Raishin isn't really dense.
