I doubt it. because it looks like Keima's story is just about over. I'll miss this series though because it had a very interesting concept and a fun cast of characters.

This is really sad. TWGOK is one of few mangas I currently follow. Are the sales bad in Japan or something? I don't think Wakaki ran out of idea. The story could go on for at least a couple of years.

I have confidence in his storytelling skills, and to be honest I am glad he is ending it now rather than drawing it out. On the whole it is an excellent work. ^^

Whoa only 3 more? Feels like there should be at least one more vol. since I thought Nora/Haqua would get more panel time...

Oh well, regardless of that, it has been a pretty good run for the manga.

No matter how I look at it, this feels like kaminomi got axed, otherwise what sense does the buildup about the next faction in hell, the titans and whatever was that giant fetus we saw. Maybe they will rename the manga to pull in new readers, but chances are Wakaki is just starting to flesh out whatever new manga idea he has; hopefully he will come out with something just as good and not something like rinne >_<

It does seem like it got axed. I was under the impression the series would need at least another arc to be wrapped up properly. There's what you mention but also Kaori and Urara, I was looking forward to their reunion with Keima in the present and I know I'm not the only one.

Keima's return to the present more than likely was always the end goal. I doubt Wakaki ever intended on exploring New Hell since that would go beyond Keima's role. Wakaki made the Goddess' sealing fairly short, so I doubt he ever cared to draw a lengthy war with Satyr.

I doubt Wakaki ever thought kaminomi would have three anime seasons (and several OVAs). AFAIK he reinvented the comic, at first the devils were just an excuse to make keima conquer 3D girls, then came the goddess arc and there has been this large post goddess arc which IMO is a preamble for another arc (which we will never see). IMO he even tried to capitalize on k-on popularity by making the girls start a band (but that went nowhere fast). He obviously did not expected it to last so long, but he is a crafty writer and kept adding more plot to the manga. I don't know if he had a lengthly war in mind, but he had some new ideas to explore, no doubt about it.

Some might think Wakaki is better of to a fresh new start, since he obviously has talent. But Takashi Shiina also has talent and he required several years after ending GSM to make another popular series (ZKC). Even mangaka's like Rumiko Takahashi, which had several popular manga over the years is ATM in a slump called Rinne. So I hope Wakaki's next manga is popular and does not suffer the same fate Takashi Shiina had, where after GSM he made Ichibanyu no Kanata ( 一番湯のカナタ ) which was abruptly axed on volume 3.

Right now its kinda hard to pair Keima with any of the girls. I mean the manga never stated if Keima had romantic feelings for any of the girls. Most, likely the ending direction will be him establishing himself as the God of Conquest --- the ultimate harem ending. Meh either way I don't think he would really care since he will return to playing his games lol
