Two questions regarding the latest volume, both about Accelerator; Firstly can anyone clarify what's this whole business about the 'spies' that he's clearing out? Or do they mean assassins? And what brought fore this sudden decision?

Secondly, I heard he double teamed with Kazakiri to take on Gabriel, more info please? What exactly happen?

It's only two months lol. And if the volumes are 300+ pages each that would have been a nearly 800 page book, way too thick for a light novel and impractical. This way they can make more money and it's not like the wait for the volume is that long anyway.

Yep, pretty much. I guess that means the arc really does end next volume. I'm hoping we find out more about Imagine Breaker's origins and Touma's name.

the fans wouldn't mind but surely the publisher would mind. If it consist of 600 pages they can get 2 volumes from it and that means that we need more money if we want to buy 2 volumes.

Thanks for that link but it's no good. It doesn't extract those stupid kanji letters. It coverts it into pdf and other stuff but not the kanji's alone. Atlas wouldn't touch it as long as it's not text alone.

I was re-reading the volume 20 summaries when I came across this:

The Russian mages saw a HsB-02 flying past them and is more annoyed at the sight rather than feeling safe the bomber have no time for them. Most of them have heard how these things destroyed a large section of Avignon with ease. They also mentioned it’s a pity that mages no longer have control over the sky, due to a magic based on St. John’s deeds that destroys any magician flying (TN: something about how the saint prayed to God to strike down a pagan who’s flying in order to prove the Christian God is the true path or something, more details are mentioned in earlier novels but I can’t find them right now, nor am I a expert on the Bible to know what story this is about).

Does anyone know what it's talking about?

I just start reading vol 21.

I would post what I have understand so far though the translations that I read aren't accurate but it's enough to have understanding. Specially with no proper summary yet for vol 21.

Spoiler for vol 21:

the story starts with a reporter reporting in Russia. you can view from the background the black smoke covering the lands. Still a very long day sept 30 xxxx
The state is in panic. Japanese administrative prefecture denies the will to fight but who cares about them even the russian pilots are questioning if its still necessary to fight.
The first part also just summarize on what's happening with touma and lessar still aiming at fianma, accelerator still with LO going to cross the border with train and shiage with his meeting of a strong mercenary Touma and Accels and after the fight and the memo with Index written on it. The kremlin report is also been mentioned.

The russian civilians are also being evacuated. And they are starting to use nuke powered missiles. Reports about mikoto and mugino going to Russia too.

Fianma just arrive back in the castle or his base and their the he hears the report of bishop nikolai about the war. And as expected the overwhelming fire power of academy city dominates the battle just as fianma expects. Nikolai also reports about the artificial angel of gakuen toshi leaving to help her friend index. And in Britain a certain hot headed magician is angry on what his seeing. Index readying to attack. Fianma obtaining what he needed due to this war. That's the end of the battle report and starts the story

Chapter 5: Enter Project

The chapter starts with touma and lessar... eating I find it troublesome to tell but they are just talking about russian cuisines... nothing special.

The target location is 40 kilometers ahead. The base of Fianma. The vehicle their riding on is entering by using illegal tours and a camouflage of package delivery.

Touma and Lessar are talking about the war and touma having doubts if anyone can match a monster like fianma or if a certain high schooler can even match him.

Lessar is explaining the events and what would happen after the war. If russia or academy city wins. The one who lose would be branded as a defeated country.

Touma blabbering about his ideals (his really a hero) and Fianmma must be defeated at all cost, that makes lessar admire him on that.

It's hard to explain what's happening but lessar is start to attack touma again, just like in volume 20. Something with the hamburger and lessar biting it and I think ... seeing face and clothes... paid using body. And I think it's what you see in the color illustration with lessar.
( I wish someone would tell me on what those two are doing in the near end of chapter 1)

115 kilometers away from Elezirina. The pure white snow is covered with black smoke and the in the field lying tanks and empty armored vehicles.

In front of Shiage the fortress hardened with Russians latest equipment is being trashed.

Shiage viewing the site with binoculars just can't believe what's his seeing.

The attacker that named himself "a mercenary" is attacking an armed base and is winning the fight.

Shiage isn't knowledgeable about magic or saint. All he knows it he might posses power other than an esper ability. And is he an ally? or an enemy? To him it's all like a joke.

however from his view on what ability aqua is using he can't tell. But he can see that the swords cut path on the snow field. Melts the snow and turn it into waves of tons of water that attacks the armored vehicles. innumerable rocket launcher had been launch but been countered with twice the number wit spear of ices. Steams exploded in the field and it's like the base is being attacked by a typhoon.

a Supernatural phenomenon or a Natural Disaster


Attacks of huge mass of water from 10 to 100 meters above is being launch, disregarding the gravity. Its like a huge serpent preying its prey.

Shiage had an eerie feeling just by looking at this one sided slaughter. Shiage still think as to who is this person. is he also an esper developed by gakuen toshi? as he thinks of an answer. The match ends with an overwhelming results.

The battle ends in just 110 minutes.

The blue mercenary not loosing on his breathing says "then it is"

In shiage's view while observing this blue mercenary wielding such a huge sword 3 times his. Wonder how many kilos that sword weighs but still to hold it with just single hand.

Hamazura is dazzled with a blank surprise.

Shiage is analyzing aqua for his body exceeds the limit of human realm. His questioning if his an esper. he lived in gakuentoshi and saw lots of abilities but aqua's abilities involves water, heat and shock waves. He might have control over water but doesn't explains the power behind his built. Does he have two abilities but that's impossible. His brains would explode if he wields two abilities but his still puzzled on what's his witnessing and it might be an existence other than esper that transcends law of physics.

Hamazura?

He hears a voiced behind the vehicle. He picks up signals saying an russian reinforcement is coming.

Hamazura interrupts as he view in his binoculars he confirms in the horrizon of about 30 tanks a infantrymen with black armors.

Shiage is observing the up coming troops and in the sky a vehicle can also be view. Either a scout or a bomber but its built is simply for bombing. The person behin shiage interrupts again that it's not reinforcement its academy city
's forces.

The forces that approaches as he analyzed is different from russian tanks and the infantrymen's armor are the ride armor of academy city. In that aspect it might be true that the approaching forces are from academy city.

Aqua says that "Apparently, it's coming to occupy this place"

With the state of the village you shouldn't resist but Shiage refuse to (shiage said cool lines but hard for me to translate in an understanding state )

Aqua nods "however"

It looks like your being chased and with the state of the village you and rikou might be ended up use as a bargaining chip for the village to survive.

Even if shiage vows to protect the village that helped rikou that current state is against them.
They might force them to gather information.

But the person behind him angrily said "Do we think that we would desert the person who fought with us just for its convenience?"

But even so it's a war. It might be easy to throw words like never giving up but the result is obvious. Shiage can only say "sorry" to the people behind him.

Then he looks into aqua and said "that in the village their is girl whom I'm in love and the reason I came"

Just a nod then aqua and shiage with his companions separate ways to enter the village which is being surrounded by the academy city armies.

The village is destroyed and the civilians takes shelter in the woods. Shiage hurriedly enters the wood. He surprised the villagers with sudden arrival. He saw Rikou and he quickly ask

"is she alright?"

Rikou mutters .."…… Eli...zerina independent country alliance"

"What?"

The russia is being suppressed by academy city forces and theirs no way to run anymore but the boundary of the independent country.

Shiage gently lifts rikou with a body that she can't move and begun walking.

" how many kilometers until the border of the country?"

The elder of the village throw a silver thing on to shiage. It's the key to the car.

Rikou translates the word of the laughing elder.

its the key to the car they could use it to escape. they other party use armed vehicles and drive armor it's impossible to escape by foot. But shiage tries to gives the key back. All the villagers look at rikou and shiage and said something about mercy or something but everyone on the village looks sad and the little girl said "be safe hamazura" Rikou tiredly replied "To defend me now, hamazura fights. Therefore, it is not miserably ..what it is... "

The destination is Elizerina independent country alliance

First of all to escape from the heavy armed academy city forces.

Lessar was going to eat a giant burger and Touma said that there was no way she could fit that in her mouth. Lessar then replied that she can fit various things in her mouth and asked if he wanted to know just what those things are (lol is she really a middle schooler?). While playing around she accidentally knocks ketchup sauce on Touma and then thinks that this is her chance and says she'll repay him with her body (lol).

btw what software did you use to translate the images into text? I'm assuming you didn't convert into English though.

I torrent a software abby finefinder 10 its an ocr software. It scans the image and extract the text kanji on it then converts it into text. then I use atlas to translate the text versions.


Thanks for the clear up with touma. Now if only someone would clear up the words of shiage when his been asked by aqua. That guy is also cool on his own.

chapter 3

The chapter starts with describing the facility of Elizerina the independent country. It looks like that the country facility is mostly made of evacuation sites for earthquake or facility that specialize in sheltering in case of emergency ( good spot for evacuation )

The newly born nation with the use change in situation due to the WWIII.

Accelerator together with a man and woman who where camouflage uniforms. After his battle with an incompetent boy in the snow field is still unconscious (what touma incompetent? wtf or I read it wrong...)

The people are talking about accelerator.

The battery of accelerator is being charge by resting though battle after battle consumes a lot of it's energy.

But due to the technology difference like the plug and shapre are different. By using local adaptors and machine parts, some are being adjusted to be used.

Accel regaining his usual condition holding a parchment. It might be related to some occult stuff with different pattern and cursive style is drawin in the parchment. The annotations use are maybe canadians, small charactered russians and some places though its destroyed might be latin.

The content can't be completely understood.

To begin with the meaning behind it is uncertain, however

Accelerator though of renewing the parchment and understanding what's the meaning of it in step by step procedure.

A Caucasian man with a camouflage suit stares at the parchment. Accelerator ask in russian if he can understand it.

The solider begun saying stuffs that's a bit hard for me to understand. It's about magic, what type it is, conditions to be met, christian type or orthodox, movements and methods involve.

He begun asking of what incantation used to summon fire on palm and as for accelerator it exceeds his understanding however it still might be the key to break down the current problem

he remembers Aiwass words " go to Russia "
