If I remember correctly, ep.20 or 21 of Code Geass R2 when Kallen and Lelouch kiss. I found that scene very nice and unexpected

manga scenes are generally better drawn i think. but a few:

Sheryl and Alto in Alto's house
Akari and Takaki in the snow under the moonlight. absolutely stunning
Naru and Keitaro after they fell into the river in Love Hina Again (better in the manga)

i'm tempted to youtube anime kisses and see what pops up. surprisingly i don't remember that many.

I am not a Taiga fan but I admit that that kiss was really something.

As for me, the first kiss that pops to my mind is the episode 24 kiss scene of Alto and Sheryl. I really loved the backdrop of ships and fighters moving out behind them as they kissed. It was really a great scene - one of the best (non-mecha-wise) in the whole series.

I was referring more to the fact that yuri anime usually shy away from actually showing intimacy while the same does not hold true for (some) yuri manga. ^^;

Well I only just saw this about half an hour ago but I thought it was well plotted out and you don't even actually see it.

Episode Fourteen;

After Hachi and Ai save the satellite and are in the EVA chamber. They start talking about finishing the kiss they attempted on Earth.

But Hachi asks if Ai wanted to "do it" and of course she misunderstands. They have a fight as per usual but then they straighten out the misunderstanding. Hachi is stilled locked into the EVA chassis whilst Ai releases herself and floats towards him smiling.

She places a hand on his chest and leans closer then the viewer is shown an image of Hachi's hachimaki moving in responce to a backwards motion against his face.

I thought it was really sweet. And Planetes' artwork is very good.

A lot of people hate the series but Kuu and Kyoshiro's final kiss in the final episode of Kyoshiro To Towa No Sora is pretty amazingly animated.

on the second thought.. i'm thinking of the kiss between Makoto and Sekai on the last part of the first episode of School Days..

I think it's also well made..
