Okay, really? This has been out for a few months, and nobody has watched this other than me? I guess I'll be the first to break the ice.
Minori Scramble is an incredibly easy anime to digest. Its story is short and suitable for the brief 39 minutes we are given. The characters are simple and can be summarized in one or two quick sentences. It's almost 100% kid-friendly, with very little knowledge of Japanese culture required for enjoyment, and the crazy slapstick humor and adorable art style would probably enamor children. While it's remarkably thin in substance, Minori Scramble makes itself memorable entirely through its execution. The direction keeps the blazing fast pacing in check; everything is fast, but not too much and just enough to keep the viewer glued to the screen. The animation is great, with lots of frames and plenty of movement. The colors used are vibrant and alive. I haven't seen many anime in a winter setting with such a striking portrayal of snow in winter as with this OVA, in fact I felt cold just by watching it. If you want a fairly good comedy with lots of cute moments, you'll enjoy Minori Scramble. |
