Its nice to see her in a battle outfit, its been quite a while with how often these new cards have attacked at school. And was that a spirit in Syaoran's attack? Still, nice to see him helping out, even if he still looks really troubled about something.
Same with Touya waiting for something it seems. I miss when Mirror could stand in for Sakura when she had to sneak out. I thought Sakura could at least have had Record show a sleeping Sakura (unless Record's an anime only card? No idea). Now Akiho's having occasional visions too. Next time they finally go read to the kids, it'll be nice to see Yukito again (more than in this episode). And huh, both Wei and Syaoran's sisters make a cameo too. |

Been a while since we had a capture done just like in the good old days. Tomoyo with her camera, Sakura in a new costume, and Syaoran acting as support. Tomoyo made Sakura a costume with a fire motif, and the card just so happened to be a fire card. We pretty much know Sakura is creating the cards, so maybe this influenced her? And the card took the form of a bird because she was just reminded of the Fly before.
Sticking to my theory Syaoran is using Sakura cards. That totally looked like a small Windy. Only hole (and it's a big one) is that Sakura should be able to feel it's her own magic.

1. He may notice an extra top piece below the hologram version of Sakura under the covers. 2. Sakura would be sleeping on top of all of her covers, which, unless she included a throw sheet when she filmed the hologram, would lead to some suspicion.

Just about everyone's keeping something under their hat in this show. Touya is hiding what he's planning on doing. Kaito is hiding what he's up to. Syaoran is hiding his efforts and whatever is eating at him. And Eriol is just plain ducking talking to anyone besides Syaoran in order to not reveal what he's hiding .
I need a heavy dose of Sakura per episode because she's about the only person who isn't hiding something from us! Don't know what Touya is planning on doing, although you can bet it is one part self-sacrifice and for Sakura's sake. I have no idea what is going on with Syaoran this time. Maybe he's just trying to hide some kind of side-effect of the magic he's using. Or maybe he is somehow using Sakura's cards. Regardless it did give the impression of him either using windy or some mini-version of it. If nothing else I'm kind of glad we're moving towards the end of the show. They'll have to pull the lid off all these mysteries before it is over....I hope .

Episode 19 is here. 3 more to go
That was really interesting. The storytelling from Sakura and Akiho really made the story feel magical. Syaoran's piano playing was also phenomenal. On top of that, I really like the way the narrative was done. It got me invested into the storyteller. Liked the usage of the visuals too. I really hope they don't rush the final few episodes but it seems we're going to reach the climax soon.

Huh, so Kero can still transform into his big form. With how much he's been lazing around I wasn't sure. Honestly I lost interest in the episode after story time started. Nice music and visuals, but a bit too slow for me. Although I'm a bit glad they didn't force in a random card.
Syaoran's sisters are still hilarious and nice to see Wei check in on Syaoran. Even if they all know he's working on something. Aw, Sakura is so good at breaking down their defenses. Things sure got more ominous at the end, and it didn't even involve Kaito this time. Hm, Clow and three other magicians that powerful. Depending on how much CLAMP stuff they reference, Sakura being too powerful is possibly a major problem. I think the first anime dropped that subplot, it didn't seem like a problem in the manga, but then Tsubasa made it more complicated. Next episode seems like another slice of life one (time to introduce the boyfriend to the great-grandfather?). |

Yeah the story could have been shortened down. A nice little story sure with a nice twist for the end. Instead of the kid learning a negative lesson the mother's viewpoint was adjusted. It wasn't that interesting though and could have been shortened down.
But yeah the highlights came with Syaoran's call and the meeting near the end of the episode. Something so shocking and concerning that Kero basically bolted to confer with Yue. Sakura's powers are apparently getting pretty intense with her pulling off something like recording the past without realizing it. Not that I'd immediately connect getting stronger to being a serious negative. Although I suppose it could lead to additional troubles heading her way. And it is a bit shocking how strong she's getting while still very young. Just what kind of god tier status is she going to reach when she's in her prime?

From the flashback in CCS, it seems like the moment Clow decided to do something a card would form, a physical manifestation of his magic and intent. If Sakura's power is excessively powerful, and she isn't fully in control yet, it could be that the cards are being born randomly from her without warning. Or her power could be overwhelming the old cards. Or any number of other situations could arise from Sakura's power growing beyond her knowledge and understanding or her servants' predictions. There's definitely danger without a proper understanding and control of her growing strength, so I understand Kero's apprehension when her power is suddenly able to transcend time (which has already been established as an incredibly powerful class of magic that takes a ton of energy, yet Sakura didn't even notice). |

Watched episode 18:
Nostalgic episode. Espescially when they started talking about the capture of the "Fly" clow card. The capture of that big bird is a classic episode. Anyway, fast forward to the future. . they are at the same place.. but this time Sakura also has Tomoyo and Li to help her capture another giant bird. ^___^ Did Li just use the Windy card there? O___O!!
