It has been a while since I have been here. I've made a few updates to my stories for the past year and a half.

The Kirita Chronicles - I am close to reaching 400 reviews. Anyone interested in helping me achieve this milestone? I'd appreciate the reviews.

Are there any crossovers with Log Horizon involving the characters fighting each other? As in PvP?

I don't think so. I'm working on one called Back in the Game, but that's not PvP.

I'm following that on the site, it looks good so far. And it looks to me that it's following the same path as how Log Horizon originally started out. Where Akatsuki already changed her appearance and sometime after her, Shiroe and Naotsugu tested out the combat system.

Now, if there isn't one with them going PvP, then I have something in mind but just thinking about it, I'm already having some issues with it.

There's also a cross over with Dark Souls called Souls Art Online that's on 42. You can imagine the sort of fresh nightmare that is though. He makes them suffer, and PvP is a fact.

Thanks for the suggestion, but not quite what I'm looking for.

Now as for those issues I'm having with this idea. One of them is this;

The amount of characters on both sides. Cause if you use all of the main characters from their respective series:

SAO:
- Kirito
- Asuna
- Leafa
- Klein
- Agil
- Silica
- Lizbeth
- Sinon

Character Count: 8

Log Horizon:
- Shiroe
- Naotsugu
- Akatsuki
- Nyanta
- Minori
- Tohya
- Isuzu
- Rudy
- Serara
- Tetra

Character Count: 10

As you can see, Log Horizon outnumbers SAO.

I know that there's going to be the suggestion of having 8-on-8 (to accommodate for SAO), but who should I have to sit out for Log Horizon? And if I pick out the wrong characters, then it could heavily tip the scale into SAO's favor. And that's not good, I'd like this to be as balanced out as possible.

Not to mention that it's not even factoring in the Team-size limit in their respective series:

SAO: 7 Players
Log Horizon: 6 Players

And Boss Raids as well:

SAO: 49 Players (7 Teams of 7)
Log Horizon: 24 Players (4 Teams of 6)

So, a little help guys?

I would like to see the idea of that type and stage of virtual reality come to life. So as a great liking to the show sword art online and to all its fans reading this forum try to message all the game designer type people to start trying to rapidly study and produce a virtual reality gaming set so we can experience our own adventures, love, excitement, and friends. We are so close to that type of gaming ware. We have the seeing, the hearing, and the movement, but still need to combine it all in one strait to our brain. Reach out guys and try to get these mmo games started for real with the real experience

Take out either Serara and Tetra since they're primarily healers or take out the lowest leveled or inexperienced of the Log Horizon cast. You want a fair fight, you need them to be balanced in terms of experience (SAO veterans vs Elder Tales experts, ALO cast against Log Horizon rookies ) and you're still going to have to find a way to align their health and stats, deal with ALO characters being able to fly when the ones on the ground can't, explain why Shiroe doesn't basically Astral Freeze a character over and over while stacking DOT or something else.

You've got your work cut out for you.

Wow, it's been a while since this thread was active.

I actually dropped the "SAO vs Log Horizon" fanfic idea when I found out that Mamare Touno (Log Horizon's author) got in trouble with Tax Evasion a few years ago. But with the last 11 episodes of Alicization set for this April and Log Horizon's 3rd season set for this October, I'm thinking of bringing it back.

I was originally going to have it set up as an "8-on-8" team fight, but I've decided to have this as a "6-on-7" fight. Given the party limits in their respective series (LH: 6. SAO: 7). With the following Line-Ups:

Log Horizon: Shiroe, Akatsuki, Naotsugu, Nyanta, Tetora and Touya

Sword Art Online: Kirito, Asuna, Leafa, Klein, Sinon, Lisbeth and Silica.

The set-ups in this would have the SAO characters in their ALO avatars. Kirito and Asuna would be in their ALO avatars they made after New Aincrad was added to ALO. In other words, they will *not* have the Stats/Data from their old Aincrad avatars.

Log Horizon's would be around where the anime's 2nd season ended.

Right now, I'm taking an extensive look on what each side (and characters) are going to bring to the table. And the "inner-workings" of their respective universes.

One thing I know about in SAO is that the game ALO does not have a level system, but has a "skills progression" system in it's place to prevent a huge gap between new and old players.

For Log Horizon, their game Elder Tales does have a Level system, but it also has a "skills progression and mastery" system in it.

Maybe for the sake of "balance" I'll set the fight in ALO, the characters from Log Horizon will lose their levels, but they'll still retain their Elder Tale skills due to that game having a "Skill progression and Mastery" system.

This isn't really all set in stone, yet. Given how both Series goes this year, this may change.

Any thoughts?
