Yeah....with what happened in episode 3, what Slaine is doing now doesn't surprise me anymore. His Martian uniform now signifies his alliance while fighting against the Earthlings. The episode slowed down a bit but the tension is still there with continuous glances of the Princess being in that coma.

-Inaho sniped the enemy Kat from low orbit.
-The pilot of the Vers kat has been captured by Marito.
-Slaine destroys Trident base, meaning UFE lost their space stronghold, while Slaine gains the trust and loyalty of Vers soldiers and a few Knights.

i guess i have to give SLaine some respect for that even though again .. it was some backstabbing thing he did it when the base was defenless ....

And we're back to random bad guy of the week episodes, though at least Inaho's role in taking him down was minimal.

Another episode of Slaine suddenly becoming more and more genius. Just what. They're desperate to establish a young antagonist, the count was probably too old for the viewership fffss.

the last scene makes me wonder if theres some hidden function that boosts inahos performance even more but costing the eye or some kind of damage or something

Despite how Yuki put it, I think the distance goes both ways. Seems like she's been going out of her way to not get in contact. If she really wanted to she could meet him face to face.

While I get Yuki's concern for Inaho's wellbeing, the actions they hint at from her seem borderline insane. The only person on the planet who can actually beat one of those enemy units and she wants him out of the military!? Might as well hand her a gun and tell her to shoot every single person on Earth because that's effectively what she's attempting to do. I'm with the top brass, just stick her somewhere out of sight. Her brother is worth more than the rest of their military is.

You have to give Slaine props, he gets the job done. Although it mostly comes down to him having a hax unit that he was just given. Plus it allows this whole conflict to be condensed into just having to kill him to achieve victory so that's a positive .

This was an episode that at least allowed non-Inaho characters to show some tactical intelligence. Although to be fair that only happened because this was the one enemy that literally did not bother attacking. He just stupidly walked around following them. Most soldiers in this show get a minute to realize what they are up against, these ones had several minutes to just calmly check their gauges and figure things out. Basically what Inaho does in 10 seconds .

This show really has become [Inaho & Slaine the show]. Other characters on both Earth and Mar side can't do anything worthly without these two.

Ah well, at least Earth side learns [how to survive in battle] this time.

Why would anyone watch this show if not for Inaho & Slaine? They're the only good parts of it outside of glorious mecha designs and meh cgi fights.

I'm not quite curious about the circumstances that Inaho and Yuki find themselves in. My current bet is that Inaho is angry at her for trying to bypass him to have him removed from service. I hope that they can reconcile without a "Forgive me as I die" moment.

The pre-opening scene was quite nice.
