Gropers in Japan

I'm suprised they don't have pepperspray stands ... or tazer stands if the country has a groper problem. A refreshin spray of the policeman's favorite would make me think twice about it.

Tasers might not be a bad idea, but could you imagine someone unloading some pepperspray in a crowded subway? You don't have to be that close to be at least somewhat effected.

I read somewhere a few years ago that one of the reasons for Japans low crime rate is that most people who are arrested are convicted. If that's true, then maybe tactics like that are the reason.

Also I remmeber watching a film on tv and it had a scene of a man groping a woman on a train but the woman was groping him back!

What I want to know is how much groping is accidental and how much is intended. And if there is a lot of intended groping going on no wonder happosai was aloud to do what he dose.... Maybe the girls should gang up on gropers and have a scene out of ranma 1/2 where you have a bunch of girls with hammers rakes brooms and so on chasing some one for groping :fingers: any how back on topic. If this is a serious problem then there must be some way of solving it... and I cant think of how at the moment So good luck to women in Japan.

Now the only question left for me is why arent the women in japan use them. I know they (ele. guns) are very common in Japan. Just imag., one zap and they wont even know what hit them. And no the woman wont get shock if the men are groping though cloths.

Thats possibly very stupid. You may ask why. Ok imagine you use a 100000 V shocker on person standing close to you, what will happen when you fire the tazer? -100000V is enough to make little discharge sparks that will penetrate most clothes (except the faraday clothes).
Well you will see how electricity searches the way with the least resistance (impedance) to the ground. Since all people in this train car stand realy close thogether, there is a pretty good conductor. After building up a circuit that affects the wohle train car [edit]need to relativate this... the effect wont be that far, but the chance is high to affect an amount of 20+ persons[/edit], you will possibly see what is called a mass panic. But you already feel this was like a stupid idea in an earlier state. Since you stood too close to the tazered person, you have been shocked too with about 20% of the tazer's charge (thats when 5 persons stand around the victim... depends also on the shoes of victim, when he is barefeet you may not be affected at all)... that person may even fall over you since near enough to grob you

During "Rush Hour" and between certain high traffic stops it can get sardine like NY. Especially if there has been some sort of delay causing more people than normal to be waiting for a train. I think some groping does occur but it is more of the natural nature. i.e. if you get on a crowded train, you may manuever yourself over to a pretty lady so if/when the pushing and crowding starts you may end up pressed up against her. You keep your hands to yourself though, I mean that's just basic self-control and respect. It is also basic self-preservation. People from the NY are more used to confrontation and sometimes it is necessary to not get walked all over on. Groping the wrong woman in NY would cause quite a scene indeed.

I did get my butt pinched by a girl when I was in High School. I so shocked that a girl actually did that, that I didnt even get her number.

My girlfriend whos half Korean half Japanese has never been gropped, but there have been a few close calls, we ride the train into work and I spend an extra 15 minutes making sure she gets to the station near the elementary school she works at unmolested (by anyone but me). I see a case of the groping about every other day.

This old businessguy was obviously going to try for a feel on her, but when he saw the look of impending doom on my 6'1" 175lb gaijin boyfriend face, he wisely stopped. Men, I suggest escorting your girlfriends/wives/femalefriends/milfs when on trains. no one messes with a gaijins ladyfriend, especially if he uses the crazy foreigner look

OMG!!! this happens to me all the time here in school!! *sigh* whenever I catch who pinched me or grabbed me I always ask: why they did it and where did they learned that habit!! 9 out of 10 usually say they saw their dad do it!! kids these days.

Cammie - I think its horrible that kids learn to pinch butts from their fathers. Did the fathers do it to punish them, or did they do it to hit on some girl? Either way its an awful practice.

Deep down everyone likes to be groped. If you ride the train and aren't groped you'd probably be sad thinking that no one wants to grope you because you are ugly. So when someone gropes you you should not peperspray or tazer them, you should say "Thank you for the compliment!"
