Well, that was...lacking.
I expected a Market Garden-type of paradrop. But at least they made a solid statement to Zorzal: "We can end this war anytime. But we chose to do it peacefully." That scene with Beefeater and Kengun is funny. Another May-December pairing confirmed? Looking forward to the finale. |

Do we have any info on special region seasons? I want to do the "Snow in ..." statement.
Also, these knights in front of the embassy are dead. I don't care how good they are trained, give me a spear, a shield and that difference in men density and we slaughter them. Last edited by mergele; 2016-03-19 at 21:15. |

If Zorzal continues to resist to the very end, there might not be such as Empire soldiers in the future.
The modern world should have taken the action more strongly to also get into the Special Region without any backstabbing motives, and it is really not a time to fight among each other for taking resources here and there when found every time in the Special Region. China, Russia, and US shouldn't have tried to attack and kidnap people from the Special Region in the first place. They were still outsiders from the Special Region point of view and has very little progress made regarding the Special Region, maybe because of their kidnapping. It is not like they have the right to decide the Special Region's future. And since they were just being spectators from the beginning, it was rather awkward. Even up to now, we have seen the battles soldiers from the modern world participated are still only JSDF. The result might have been better in this episode and absolutely no further battles any more if many more possible foreign modern soldiers cooperated that are truly dependable and trustful. Just my wishful thinking. Is Pina is the only person needs to be rescued as of now? I thought there are more important people having oppositions towards the Empire are still remain captive somewhere in the Empire. |

Pretty much only Pina is left. The rest of the political prisoners appeared to have been imprisoned in that one prison, and they were rescued by the JSDF. The rest who opposed were killed by the Oprichnina before the rescue. Of course, the question remains if the emperor, Molt Sol Augustus, needs to be rescued as well. The JSDF probably has better medical remedies, and who knows what Zorzal will do to him if he starts to wake up.

Seeing the JSDF making a statement towards Zolzal via a paradrop and some shock tactics was awesome!
Of course, I'm worried about Princess Piña Co Lada as she might get raped at any time. I hope that Lt. Youji Itami and his party will save her on the next episode! |

Itami said in the episode he won't let anyone die, who are those people Itami referring to?
I think Itami's group might cause less damage on the Empire compared to the rest of the SDF soldiers. Even though the other SDF forces support Itami from afar, one of the few things they can do is make more holes on the Empire soldiers after all is it? Since Rory the Demigod is on presence, she can be a very good help just to scare off the enemies without any possible harm. If it is to save just Pina, then it is better to sneak in I guess. Thinking about if some Empire ordinary citizen might hold any grudge against SDF if a lot of SDF forces charged through and making more holes on the Empire soldiers that have their family to protect, I'm kind of confused though. The enemy casualties in the episode is way more than enough, no maybe starting from the battle on Alnus hill from the first season episode 2. And someone before me already mentioned on risks of picking a fight against Rory that only leads to nothing but regrets. I forgot to mention those two female knights on the horse, since they decide to go to the castle by themselves after SDF's escort to the Empire, they had to get away after being exposed as traitors, and led to the SDF soldiers to make little bit more holes. I wonder how the Empire soldiers there hold grudges against the female knights and the SDF soldiers who are ready to retreat with the air carrier, not only they got away except for the horse the female knights were riding on. Though I feel their mourning, not being able to save Pina, but to be this pointless blood shed, is it pointless? Last edited by rladls2121; 2016-03-20 at 20:24. |

I'm betting Hamilton got word out to Grey. We know that Hamilton was in the Palace with Pina but we haven't seen her since just before Pina's imprisonment. The messenger would want to travel as fast as possible which leaves little time for chitchat with the locals, not that a good messenger would gossip in the first place. Do we know the distance from Rondel to the Capital? From the Capital to Alnus is about 600 Kilometers if I recall correctly. In any event we may find out the answer to this next week. I'm perfectly willing to wait and see what the skinny is (assuming they tell us).

let’s talk logistic.
not counting special forces, the only large JSDF group able to do paradrop? that would be the 1st Airborne Brigade, the Japanese equivalent of US 88th Airborne, it is made up of 3 para infantry battalion and one artillery battalion, plus misc. support group, total 1,900 soldiers. the transport airplanes shown in the anime that is doing the airdrop is Kawasaki C-1 transport, it can carry 45 fully equipped paratroopers, or 1 platoon. Japan has 30+ of those C-1, (barely enough to do a full drop of all 3 infantry battalion.) and in the manga, there were never more than 4 together shown at one time, being it takes a lot of efforts to move one of these planes into the special territory, you need to detach and reattach the wings during transport via flatbed truck. so in the anime we have 5 C-1 doing the drop, that would be 5 platoons, or 45X5=225 soldiers, not even 2 companies strength, operation Market Garden? 40,000+ paratroopers. ========== someone who has the same watch notices, at the beginning the watch used to synchronize time is a Casio G-Shock GW-9400-1.
