I'd expect this would be the first and the last project of Kamisabu, sadly. However, I am really thankful for everything you have done just that this project be completed.
Samatarou's one lucky bastard; he has two sisters ... *LUSTING* for him.

Well, that was a great ending to a good show, IMO. ^^
I like how Kumiko looked with the pink eyes - she looked prettier. So gods and goddesses have blue/violet eyes, angels have pink ones, and devils have red-yellow ones.

I just wanted to add my own "thank you!" to Chikushou for hanging in there and completing the subs for Kamisama Kazoku. This was a fun and entertaining little series that managed to include a little drama without ever making the mistake of taking itself to seriously. And Tenko is simple too adorable for words - she easily makes it onto my list of favorite characters from this year.

It was good.
First of all i tought the show was the shit until the last episode. Tenko is a whore, Kumiko is the bomb, and the show left me wanting more I wasn't exactly satisfied with the ending. I meant the last episode showed me only the following thing: Gods are complete pussies. I wanted a battle scene where Sam just rips Fumiko apart. "My weapon is persuasion." ....... wtf?!? I wanted him to get like pissed off and kick some ass, but in the end it didn't happen. A good anime to distract you in between shows. |

There are subs but you need to turn them on - in software such as
VLC all you need to do is go under the video menu and turn the english subs on. Otherwise they don't appear. Not sure what you're viewing your files with but that's how it works in VLC.

Echoed - thanks for finishing this one. I thought the subbing job was excellent, on the whole.
This is one of those shows I enjoyed more than I maybe should have, given that I can't necessarily quantify why I did. It's just a generally pleasing piece of work that makes me smile, like a lesser version of Petopeto-san. I ended up liking all the characters, even the family members who I at first thought were merely annoying distractions. I think Sam got something of a bum rap - a terrific lead, IMO and a perfect foil for Tenko. There ended up being more to this than I expected, in several ways. |

I don't think it was rushed, because I personally felt a warm and fuzzy feeling after watching the show. Of course it's all a matter of opinion, but a lot of loose ends (that were visceral to the story itself) had been tied, IMO, so it was a great ending to a good show.

edit: physics223 very kindly sent me the OP/ED, so my first paragraph can safely be ignored.
I've been listening to the short versions of the opening and ending of Kamisama Kazoku since the series first debuted, but I've had no luck with finding full versions of the OP and ED. I've read through this thread and saw someone actually posted the URLs, but they're dead links by now. :[ Does anyone have these files?? Or could someone perhaps PM me and point me in the right direction?? It'd be greatly appreciated! I've looked all over to find CD releases by either Mizuhashi Mai or Miraku, but to no real avail. But that aside... Kamisama Kazoku struck me as a fun and cute show from the beginning. I didn't expect mind-bending plot from a 13 episode series, so I took it for what I saw and I liked it. And obviously I liked it enough to do a vector of the ending.... (sig!) Honestly this series has the best OP/ED I've heard! Last edited by shanoon; 2006-10-20 at 13:43. |
