Finally, the curse is broken, Maria-san. Although, it's quite a shame that it has to be at Touka's expense. Quite strange that the first time Maria didn't top her prelim group, would be the time that she'll pick up her first main draw win in Saimoe.

Also, that Mikuru win was completely out of my expectations. That messes up the bracket math. i still don't think that Mikuru is that strong, and i believe a good portion of those votes are tactical ones. We'll find out later, and now I think Ami/Taiga has a great chance of advancing to the final 32. And thus, Kagami goes out, in the quickest exit of a defending Saimoe champion in its 8-year history.

The other two matches were expected, although Eri-Nagisa match would have been a nice one if both were in their peak.

Just as planned Kagami was decrowned so easily like what happened to Rika-chan last year. A lot of people hates Touka that she gets decimated finally Maria advanced to the 2nd round after a few years (like Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets, and Atlanta Hawks last NBA Playoffs) Whoa whatever I mentioned came true and just like that Kagami finally eliminated. I wonder what the heck Mikuru pull out from her sleeve? Anti Tsun-tsun seals created by Hayate and Toradora Faction are really something. Now everything would be interesting... the best of 7 series now led by Hayate faction 2-1 over Saki faction. Other faction like Toradora pawned Saki faction big time.

F05 [p1-01] Ami Kawashima [Even if she lost her man of dreams to Taiga, she still the force of all force]
F08 [f-21] Kuroko Shirai [Oh please teleport me to the world of anime, she can handle only two probably bring my nephew with me]
F11 [p2-17] Kagami Kuro [2nd chance probably gives her hope dreaming she is sleeping with her beloved friend. Poor Sensei, always getting battered either by Kuro's curse or other thing else..]

First match in SaiMoe history that accumulated over a thousand fake votes (which was pretty rare back then and had more power in swaying voters). Raised fake-vote awareness and solidified the RM faction as the 2ch fake vote machine. With the dolls nowhere in sight this time around, it'll be interesting to see what shape vengeance will take.

Well, the Mikuru victory does indeed spark hopes of the return of SOS-dan to power. I wouldn't be shocked though if Yuki falls short to Misaka Mikoto in the end. we'll see.
