[/Orsola] One of the reasons why I never place much emphasis on Animation is because the BD will always fix it right up... Even the famed Madoka has moments of bad animations.

I wish I could've bought them but heck. You people down there have it easier on technological products than we have up here it seems (or so I heard from a colleague) :| Still, that BD Touma is still smug as he is when he made his "Heroic Entrance" (no punching on the face right when he got there so no "Dynamic Entry" for him, heheh)

Shaft is famous for doing that, but J.C. Staff just recently begun with that process (I'm very glad they finally did, they have episodes with lame quality in many of their series.) |

But to be fair, it's not that Studios want to do this, but they have a deadline to meet, and they have to meet it even if it means cutting corners.

More than a time problem, I think it's a budget problem. Better quality has more impact at the beginning and at the end of the series, they probably judge that it can drop a bit at the middle without losing much rating, so they distribute the time used and number of animators working per episode to fit that pattern. But as you said, I don't mind that too much as long as the dvd/bd has better quality. Whether it's on purpose or not, better quality in the dvd/bd releases improves the sales. It also gives an advantage against pirate dvd/bd, at least those based on the tv version, and let's be honest, there's way too much piracy... |

Bah... In the end, I can't say I'm confident in my knowledge of the workings of Anime studio, so I'll just put a stop to this conversation
