The day before the final episode was scheduled to air, a sixteen-year-old girl killed her father with an axe in Kyoto. In response, TV Kanagawa replaced the episode, which was known to contain similarly violent material, with half an hour of scenery and classical music to avoid association with the murder. Other stations airing the anime followed suit, except for AT-X, who remained indecisive at the time. In the following week, 0verflow announced that a screening of the episode would take place in the Tokyo area as part of the release of the series first DVD volume, and would require a copy of either the PC game or Summer Days PC game for admission. However, AT-X announced that they would air the last episode on September 27, 2007, with minor alterations in airing times. The screening of the episode that 0verflow announced showed the uncut version of Episode 12, including the blood color change black to red, more sound effects, and fewer flashbacks. The uncut scene was included in the DVD release on February 27, 2008.

The sudden swap of the last episode to scenery footage came as a shock to many fans, but amidst the outrage, a 4chan contributor commented "Nice boat." in a seemingly calm manner, referring to M/S Skagastøl, the Norwegian Fjord1 ferry shown in the scenery footage. The phrase became a internet meme, and was ranked tenth in Yahoo! Japan's keyword search ranking for the week of September 17 to September 23, 2007. Also, 0verflow decided to name its booth "Nice boat." for the Comiket 73 in December 2007, selling "Nice boat" merchandise along with its normal line of specialty items.

So basically, a little girl murdered her father and in Japan they decided it would be better not to air School Days (together with another anime I don't remember now). In its place, they showed a video with a boat doing I don't know what, someone commented "nice boat" in 4chan and it became a meme.

Not really relevant. I mean, whether she was or not, you couldn't really tell by simply opening up her belly like that. There would not be enough development on the fetus part, yet.

Was it ever confirmed whether or not Sekai was pregnant? I won't take Kotohona's statement at the end as a confirmation unless its backed by word of god.

^ After reading around, it seems there is no 100% proof.

Some things to consider:
I dono their age, but she could of been premature and not of been able to have the baby
She did miss her period and get symptons of being pregnent etc
Koto is crazy, anything she sais doesn't count :P

I am pretty sure she was... i would also like to know if anyone else had the answer for sure though(Which i believe their may be no definite answer)

Another question is:
Did setsuna sleep with mokoto?

I think she was. She's certainly a lot more sympathetic character than if she's faking it.

There might be a chance, but nothing is hinted yet.

Spin-off, I guess was what was meant. Summer Days is a spin-off, after all. And Cross Days is a parallel story.

What, the fact that she did sleep with her crush (remember, originally, she was the one interested in him - and the reason Sekai moved closer to the guy was to get him to go out with Setsuna. Granted, that went out the window pretty quickly, but...) only to get him to stop sleeping around (for the sake of her best friend) makes her unlikeable? Maybe dumb and gullible, but you gotta give it to her: she had guts and conviction. She made all the wrong decisions, but... at least, she thought she was doing the right thing.

But I think that you have a problem with the whole notion of sex, right? Then, I won't argue with you there.

^ As a matter of a fact, yeah i do. As i said setsuna is still great, but it makes me feel she is stupid, however at the same time feel bad for her(The guy she has a crush on is a whore/cheater etc)

They all made their mistakes. They know how Makoto is and yet they still come for him. Kotonoha is so naive.
Sekai trusted Makoto so much.
Otome was stupid.
Setsuna was too idiotic enough to trust Makoto and even did it with him for her bestfriend , which was an excuse.
And...the other girls who were just stupid,too.
Oh yeah , Makoto? No need to point it out. It was obvious who he really was.
