Summary of ep 8:

Pool.....mouth to mouth....goal.....crawl....Haruka flies.

Was a cute episode, not super funny but ok. Chiaki sure was different in this episode. She seemed like a big baby being held by Kana while on her lap. Was an unexpected scene for Kana and Chiaki, with Haruka yes but not Kana...

Really wanted to see Haruka's reaction though at the end. That ending was like a teaser. She is really a lazy person at heart and sleeps alot.....

Well, I pretty much liked everything about this episode which is really rare since the beginning of Okawari. It was really that good. If I’m right, all the Okawari cast had a fair share of screen time including Kana’s and Haruka’s classmates. Hosaka’s epic fantasy finally made it to the show and it was very epic nonetheless. I really don’t want to spoil anybody since this is my favorite episode without doubts. It had plenty of sisterly love I have long been waiting to see on screen. >.<

And no Fuyuki by the way…

Looking forward to the next episode and perhaps some subs…

I once even thought Mako-chan got a bikini treatment[by any means possible courtesy of Kana] when Kana made her called invitating everybody in.

Haruka got thrown into the pool, she shouldn't off her guard that much.

A very solid episode all around that focuses primarily on Kana and Chiaki. Surprisingly feel good and peaceful due to the absence of:

1) Makoto's depressing downward spiral into depravity (well, he's not depressed about it any more at least, but this may be further addressed in the next episode judging by the previews)
2) Kana's display of the base side of human nature
3) Haruka's anger

This episode's theme: If it was ever in doubt before, it is no longer; this show is better off without Cona... I mean, Fuyuki.

That inflatable bear is one lucky inanimate object.

If this episode's ending concerning Haruka was an anime original idea, then it would have been the new production staff's greatest stroke of genius yet.

Fujioka has seen everything now.

Is it just me, or did this episode's animation and coloring seem especially superb?

Haruka is a deep, deep sleeper.

Kana has a gentle side(?) after all.

I wonder if Hosaka realizes that Hayami has been sponging off him for 2 seasons.

Great episode, and not just for the swimsuits (no complaints about that though). definitely benefited from having the whole cast in the mix, and the chiaki x kana play was good fun. also hosaka's delusions return and fox sempai actually makes a proper appearence this episode. the only thing lacking was haruka's presence, since she was asleep the whole time (not that I didn't enjoy the pans of her on the lounge chair ).

looks like a good ep overall though, next one should be awesome for obvious reasons.

Must be some rare school with no bullies because gods knows if that kid went to any of my past schools he'd been getting his ass kicked on a daily basis.

Fun episode though...As much as I felt bad for poor mako-chan I couldn't help laughing just as hard as uchida.

I'm guessing next episode is a return to service...Not that I'm complaining.

Having watched atleast one episode from every group involved...Meh there about the same heh. If your real picky about quality i'd guess i'd have to say I enjoy Ayako or GC-TA.

As for the episode itself...Well like others have said it really did a nice job of capturing that season 1 magic. Hosaka finally fantasizes and Grouchy bitch haruka is replaced with lazy cute haruka.

The toss at the end was just gold...100% unexpected heh...It'd be nice if they could keep this up for the remainder of the season.

Hurrah! Okawari makes history with it's first ever animated Hosaka fantasy. Here's to more in the near future!

I was worried this would end up being a fan service fest but the overall plot direction didn't seem to suffer so I'm alright with it. I did find it a little surprising to see Haruka sleeping in a bikini considering how difficult it was for the other girls to get her shirt off in the beach episode of MK.

Fujioka, poor guy can't seem to catch a break with Kana. What do you guys think, would she seriously date him if he confessed? I know this isn't really a romance focused slice of life, but it can't hurt to speculate!

Also, I think Haruka officially qualifies as Japan's next miss universe contestant with that swimsuit and her wish for world peace.

Cal: Some great fanart - poor Maki having to deal with classic Hosaka. Mako-chan/Toma is hilarious...I suppose they would make a great gender bending couple.
