North Korean boat reportedly hijacks 3 Chinese vessels
WTF are the North Koreans doing? What do they hope to gain by biting the hand that feeds them? |

And so the ignorant comments on DPRK continues. Why can't those who do not know what is going on just leave it to those who actually knows something?
Anyway, on the news at hand: The money demanded is to be sent not to North Korea, but to someone in Dandong. This seems to indicate that it's a criminal-related situation, possibly the Chinese underworld and corrupted elements of the KPA working together. |

^ Nonetheless the chinese goverment will lose face if they bow down to North Koreas demands, even if the incident is related to chinese mafia it only gets worse since the world then will say "So, the chinese goverment does not have the mafia under control?"

At this point, it's gotten so tiresome to have heard this sort of news over and over and over again for the past four years, you gotta wonder how they themselves still have the energy and self-respect to perpetually and straight-facedly act like first graders.

Well now, that's not quite was I was getting at. It's true, Dems do oppose Repubs on many occasions, but I swear half the time, it feels like they're in a mad dash to capitulate to whatever the GOP demands on policy, agreeing to abandon any issue in hopes that some pre-emptive "compromise" will make the GOP more likely to work with them. Hint: it does not.
And it's pretty much a one way street in recent years. But if someone has some examples of Republicans foregoing pieces of their platform on numerous occasions in order to try to "appease" the opposition, I'd be very curious to see. Although this might not be the thread for it... |
