The problem is they overdid it. She's not supposed to look that weak. Especially not before Tower of Paradise.

Yeah not sure about Gajeel's voice yet. Had a different expectation for his voice. Oh well it's just something to get used to.

In the end there is also just everyone viewing things differently. I don't think they did it worse. Sure the Green thing was odd, but really it still hit home that he was in terrible shape. Plus maybe his original skin colour was all thanks to magic . Besides Makarov had the same "ahhh" it just didn't involve seeing him blasted through a wall. I really don't think that's anything to complain about. I suppose you could say the manga did better with the surprise attack since it was even better than slow motion (no one was moving ). Really the only thing that would have been better was removing the green. That really was just odd.

Do think you are overeating to minor things.

Pretty weak episode in my opinion. They are spending some of that budget, though. Lucy tripping out over a bug and Natsu arguing with Happy were really good parts. The best part of the episode was definitly the part where they ACTUALLY GOT RID OF SOME THE STILLS! Hopefully they will get rid of them completely when the big fight comes up. It would make sense to do that, but after all the bad stuff that's happened to the anime, I'm not getting my hopes up. The bad parts were Natsu's crappy cgi fire ruining some of the mini fight with Gazille. You just cant see what's going on. Also, Makarov turning green, and Erza's hug were awful in my opinion. I could have done a better job of animating those scenes. They just didn't have the emotional impact the manga had. Anyway, preview looks good, hoping they stick with trying to animate the scenes, instead of using stills.

I liked episode 22, I'm glad I'm not the only one to think he looked like Raditz, or maybe it was because my brother was watching Dragon Ball Z Abridged on the other side of the room, at the time. Natsu had some expert timing in this episode, I'll give him that.

What a great episode this was.

One of my favorites scenes from the manga when everyone cheers on saying they'd rather die then hand over a comrade was seriously well adapated, especially the music placement, using the track "Predestination" was nicely done. Animation was pretty decent as well, though nothing of the level we haven't seen so far.

Glad they left in Erza's shower scene, though there was so much smoke added . Also it was a little silly that after she blocked the attack from Jupiter that normal attire appeared on her, which makes no sense. In the manga it's just the defense armor in pieces. Of course it's obvious why they did just that.

Can't wait for next weeks episode. One of my favorite characters Elfman get's to shine!

Watching Fairy Tail really makes me tense.

Ah I'm starting to really like the gun duo. They were great in the scene with the forest healer. I was really expecting Lucy to turn herself over although I'm glad she didn't and it's nice to see how little everyone made of it. So having the narrative make so little of it was a cool touch as well. I think Mira had a good idea when she thought Lucy should stay out of the battle for the moment even if she had to have Cana tell her to do the same thing.
Even still the humour still keeps being funny in spite of the seriousness. Although I'm to tense to actually laugh.
Eagerly looking forward to how Natsu and Happy dismantle the Jupiter Cannon next week. The new fire wachamacallit 4 has a really cool design IMO. Although I'm worried if something will happen to MiraLucy.

Definitely a great episode. It was a great moment with everyone stepping up in defense of Lucy. Obviously something Jose can't comprehend. No matter the danger or threat they aren't giving up on a member of the guild. Doesn't matter who it is the stance is the same. Of course can feel for Lucy who has put all this guilt onto herself. In the end it's on her father's shoulders and besides with the bitter feelings between Phantom and Fairy Tail this was going to happen at some point. It was just a matter of who might set it off.

Just their luck that two of their best fighters are either missing or ambivalent. Clear that Laxus is just in the guild because of family relations not because he shares any of the ideals of the guild. Very nice moment when Mira shattered that ball. No point talking to that guy for more than is necessary. The flashback made it clear, but Mira really has gone down from a mage on Erza's level.

And what a bad match for Natsu. If there was a category for worst match ever this might be a challenger. Besides the flame control Natsu is just locked in attacking this guy even if it's having no effect.

I somehow am at a loss of words on what to say about ep 23 really, at most I can say it was good, great even, thats it.
I think preview got me really wanting to see the next ep atm, as whats to come is one of the better parts of this arc.
Well rest of the arc from here on out is best part really.

Yeah it was a new piece. Hopefully it'll make it's way to the second soundtrack.

Now, this was a good episode. I liked the ominous walking-guild and ticking-clock animation. And Totomaru got a cooler entrance than in the manga

Is Erza wearing panties in the shower? I deemphasized it while stitching the pan.

Very powerful episode. Loved the part where everyone was standing up for Lucy. Nicely adapted.
